Hi everyone, we started this page about 1 year ago. We are now getting closer to our middle son's wedding. Jack, our son with DS is becoming increasingly excited for the event. Jack loves country, rock & roll, bluegrass, and gospel music. He wants what we have.... Love in his life. He often talks about falling in love. This is why we have started to promote this group. We want to start a dialogue for those parents who believe this is something for their son or daughter. It's not closed to just those with Down syndrome, but more of a physical and cognitive match (if that's an appropriate way to say it). Anyway, would love to hear about your loved ones, and their desires, and discuss the possibilities. Just a place to see if we can collectively come up with ideas and scenarios that can make such a wondrous thing occur. ABOUT US: We live in a rural area of California. Our home sits on 15 acres, and our ranch is almost 100 acres. We're starting to farm as well. Thinking of various ideas for the use of our assets to serve the Down syndrome community, including the idea of a group home of some sort. These ideas are in their infancy, so stay tuned, as well as share your ideas, hopes and dreams, and even fears. No judgements here, just a forum to assist us all in planning for the future.

IRISH SPRING SOAP TO KEEP THE CRITTERS OUT OF GARDEN AND FRUIT TREES

Fourth: Soap, yes Irish Spring soap to be exact. Deer and rabbits don’t like the smell so to help keep them out of the garden I shred the soap and scatter it around the perimeter of my garden. I try and shred it about 6 weeks before I need it and let it harden in a paper bag. By doing this the soap won’t dissolve as quickly, even during a rain.
