Our first Story Time of the season is this Thursday, June 4, at 10 AM CST! Join us as we read together Robert McCloskey‘s classic: Blueberries for Sal. “Kuplink, kuplank, kuplunk!” Then search for Little Bear in the blueberry patch and fill your own pail with blueberries!

The farm is open for U-Pick berries and cut flowers from 7am-2pm this Thursday. Come spend the day with us!

Farm admission is $1/person. Berries are $5/pound. Flowers are $16/cup.

We’re opening the farmstand tomorrow morning from 8am-11am CST for blueberry pickup! Swing by and grab a pint or a gallon of fresh berries!

We have a few rows at the end of our blueberry field that we are holding for future expansion (more blueberries? Blackberries? Who knows?). We keep it in cover crop to continue improving the soil. This summer we planted buckwheat. It’s one of my favorites and here’s why:
🌱 It’s excellent for w**d suppression.
🌱 Beneficial insects LOVE it.
🌱 It scavenges soil phosphorus so when we mow it down and that organic matter breaks down, phosphorus becomes more available for future plants
🌱It looks like lace in the field when it blooms!
