This breeding is pretty exciting for me. Amelia is out of my Doe Lady whom I lost last year. Amelia was also rescued from a bad situation this summer. She is bred to a Kastdemur’s Vampiro son also! Now the long 28 days wait to confirm!

Something has been weighing heavily on my mind lately and I dont know why.

What does it take to consider yourself a success at breeding Goats? Ive been doing this seriously for about 15 years now.

I had set some goals for myself and have yet to achieve my biggest one for myself. That is having a finished Champion with my herd name. I have gotten many Restricted legs on my homebred Jr Does. But something always seems to happen and they dont finish their Championship. Maybe its just not meant to be for me.

Ive finished several Does whom I bought as babies from other herds but never my own. Ive bought the best stock I can afford. Bought even better bucks yet to no avail. It truly gets discouraging.

This girl here in the pic is the closest Ive come. But she is now 10 and retired so that dream is gone with her. She was very stingy with Doe kids and the couple Ive had I sold. My greatest accomplishment is she is LA’d at 92 EEEE.

Im keeping my herd much smaller now and trying not to just throw in the towel. But it is hard!

Hopefully my girls will come in heat soon so I can get the few bred that I have kept.

This girl is “Tiny Dreams MC LooksThatKill”. I had sold her last Spring to a Young lady who has now gone off to College. When we contacted me to offer her back my heart was happy. I sadly lost her Dam this Kidding Season to a Uterine Tear. That broke my heart!

Harli is a daughter out of Southern S Farm RB Chasing Cars (Charli) and sired by *B Kastdemur’s Maui.

Harli will be bred to *B Southland’s KV Big Easy.. Big E is a *B Kastdemur’s Vampiro son. We are excited to see these kids.
