Question: Does anyone put ice in their mop water?? I keep seeing ads on Facebook and they fill their mop bucket up with ice, then water and detergent and I never knew this was a thing??

Apparently it:

Helps floors dry faster
Keeps dirt from spreading
Reduces streaks and residue

I always use the hottest water to mop!

I make these 7UP biscuits all the time because they’re so easy and so delicious, I just had to share them with you.

During my time away from my mom, I’ve found myself getting back into the kitchen. Cooking has always been a kind of therapy for me, and honestly, it’s something I’ve drifted away from over the past few years. Lately, it’s felt really good to come back to it. ❤️

The other day, I made a meal to welcome a loved one home after surgery, and of course these famous 7UP biscuits made the menu. I figured I’d finally show you how I make them…

My first cooking video 😅

🧈 7UP Biscuits

Ingredients:
• 4 cups Bisquick
• 1 cup 7UP (or Sprite)
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 stick of butter

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°
2. Melt the stick of butter in a 13x9 pan
3. While the butter melts, mix together Bisquick, 7UP, and sour cream in a bowl
4. Roll dough out on the counter and cut biscuits to your desired size
5. Place biscuits directly into the pan with the melted butter
6. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown

These are perfect with a big pot of stew… or just slathered in butter or honey. So simple. So good. 🤤

If you try them, let me know! 💛

I can’t wait for the day I get to call my mom again.

Just a little over a month ago, I was told I might never have that privilege. In that moment, my heart was flooded with sadness, I should have called more. I should have visited more. If I could just have her back, I would make more time no matter how busy life is.

God has been so incredibly merciful. He is blessing me with something I was once told I wouldn’t have again, the opportunity to hear my mom, to talk to her, to tell her I love her. And I don’t take that lightly for even a second.

Life gets busy. Days turn into weeks. We assume there will always be more time. Another call. Another visit. Another “I love you.” Until suddenly, you’re faced with the reality that those moments are not guaranteed.

If you’ve been caught up in the rush of life and haven’t taken the time to call a loved one, check in on them, or stop by just because , please do it. Make the time. Make it a priority. Don’t wait for the “right moment.”

There will come a day for every one of us when we would give anything for one more call, one more conversation, one more chance to say what’s on our heart.

Make the most of today. Say the things you’ve been meaning to say. Love loudly. Forgive quickly. Show up while you still can.

Don’t let your love go unspoken. Don’t take the privilege of having the people you love for granted. ❤️

Today marks 31 days in the hospital for Mom, and I am so amazed of how far she has come. From doctors telling us she wouldn’t survive this… to literally pulling herself up out of the bed today, it feels nothing short of a miracle!

Today was such an incredible day. She’s been smiling, did amazing with PT and OT, and her therapists are truly impressed with her progress and movements. We’re working on reconnecting the brain with those movements, and seeing that happen is just amazing to witness.

God has been so incredibly good. He has been with her every step of the way, and I am beyond thankful. Watching her strength return, little by little, is the greatest gift.

We had a big morning, so now Mom and I are going to take a little nap, resting and preparing for the next steps in her healing journey. I can’t wait to keep watching her grow stronger every single day. 💛🙏

I have had some people reaching out about Venmo instead of gofundme and we do have Venmo for her it’s last 4 of the phone number is 6735. Thank you all again so much for your support and prayers!

In hard seasons, we don’t always get to choose what happens to us, but we do get to choose how we move through it. Choosing kindness, happiness, and peace isn’t about pretending things are easy. It’s about protecting our hearts while we heal. These choices remind us to give grace, hold onto hope, and trust that brighter days are still ahead. One day, one breath, one choice at a time

Yum, yum, yum!! 🤤
So much flavor in every bite! I was seriously craving some good comfort food, so I stopped into Lou and Flo’s, and it was exactly what I needed. I got the chicken and sausage jambalaya and The pawpaw, a roast beef sandwich, delish!

Amazing food made by amazing people ❤️ If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s the perfect blend of Louisiana and Florida, a combination that just hits the spot!

We’ve had a very busy few days here, but we have some great news, Mom was moved out of the ICU yesterday! 🎉 She is completely off the ventilator, and now we begin working toward getting her off the trach. Her abdominal wound I believe will take the longest to heal. We are praying for a smooth transition and continued healing.

I’m not comfortable leaving her side. The nurse-to-patient ratio here is 1:5 compared to ICU’s 1:2 or less, so it’s a whole new world. She isn’t able to talk or call for help due to restraints, so we are officially back in slumber party mode. 💕

I want to thank each and every one of you who have prayed, donated, shared, and reached out. Your prayers and support have truly carried us through this time. We still have a long road ahead, and the funds raised will help ease the pressure of any needs she may have down the road, especially as we prepare for what coming home may look like, since we’re still unsure what her long-term capabilities will be.

There will also be a cake auction for her next week, being put together by Sebrina Hensley 🙏🏼
If you’d like another way to donate, is her Venmo.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for loving my mom and our family so well. 💙

Today marks 27 days in the ICU for my mom Sue Rossi. When I look back at day one and see how far my mom has come, I am so thankful. We are truly witnessing God’s glory through her strength and His mercy.

She still has a very long road ahead, but we are taking the next step forward. The plan is to move her to Select, a long-term acute care hospital right across the street. She may be there for up to 30 days, where the focus will be intensive therapy, working to get her off the ventilator, with trach removal as our ultimate goal. From there, she will then go to another rehabilitation facility for more extensive PT and we do not know how long that will be or where the path will lead after.

They will also continue caring for her abdominal wound, which will take time to heal. We are hopeful for more physical therapy there, as ICU limitations make movement difficult. Our prayer is to get her moving, rebuilding strength, and helping her mind and body reconnect and work together again.

Thank you all so much for the continued prayers, love, and support. We truly could not walk this journey without you. We know there is still a long road ahead, and if you feel led to help, I have linked her GoFundMe below.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your prayers are working, and we are so grateful. 🤍🙏
