We’re ready to part ways with our lovely IPP sow Poppy. She is currently bred for the next month to our registered IPP boar. She has a more Kune Kune look to her than what we like and sometimes her piglets reflect that. We kept back one of her daughters as a replacement. Who is absolutely gorgeous!

She was the best sow to get us started with IPPs on our farm. Super friendly. Loves people. Easy to handle. Respected fences, we keep her in a 1-2 strand poly wire electric fence.

She is updated on deworming and starting to show she is bred.
She will make someone very happy!

193,200, and 249 hanging weights at almost 10 months old made us incredibly happy!

We absolutely love these pigs. As always we have shares and feeders available.

Our gilt that was breeding quality didn’t make the trailer. Someone backed out in her share and we didn’t need the extra hog this time around. The kids have officially named her Bridget (from Trolls 🙄) and we may give her a chance to become a mom next year since Nelly isn’t able to be bred any longer.

Yall it was a TOUGH one today.

A feel like of 118 and man the animals were struggling. We lost 2 goats unfortunately, in the last 2 weeks. And we were super worried about Olaf. We tried everything by offering cold water multiple times a day, shade, and we even put fans in the barn which we’ve never done. Tonight every one looked better with the significant cool down. Hopefully it’s cool weather from now on for a bit. We need relief!
