I opened the Sweet Shoppe in the heart of Historic East Durham December 2022. It’s been a wild, beautiful ride! I started with my own plan, but God had something far sweeter in mind. East Durham Sweet Shoppe has grown into a dream come true rooted in faith, family, and community. Every challenge, every blessing, and every customer along the way has shaped this journey into a true testimony of purpose and divine direction. God’s plans are always sweeter.

To my family who continuously supports my sweet endeavors…my BEAUTIFUL daughters who are the sweet spot in my world. I love y’all FOREVER!! To my late husband who I wish was here to see the hard work all those years ago pay off🕊️ Thanks for believing in me❤️

I’m thankful for every customer! You all are AMAZING!! Every celebration, every mid day snack, every corporate event, every just because gift, every mom in labor craving our treats I appreciate y’all!!

Back in 2012 my Mother asked me if I had any plans to open a store front with the home base baking business I was getting off the ground. I stood ten toes down and with my chest said, “Absolutely Not!” 🫠🫠

She cheered for me 10 years later when I called to tell her I was opening a Sweet Shoppe in East Durham. She walked the grounds of my store and filled every space with prayer. Thankful for every word of encouragement, every rebuke 😒…every time you’ve held the phone and listened to my heart. I love and appreciate you woman.

Moral of the story…..Moms be knowing🩷😊
