Congratulations to Laura Ritchie and Shirlette Ammons on the creation of Boardinghouse Arts.

The Carrack held a genuinely special place in Durham’s arts community, and it is wonderful to see some of that spirit carried forward in a new form. Spaces that give artists room to create, experiment, gather, and find an audience add immeasurably to the character of a city.

Wishing Laura and Shirlette tremendous success as they open this next chapter. May Boardinghouse Arts become another welcoming, supportive, and enduring community space in Durham.

A little live music from Jim Morgan at Drink A Bull in Durham, NC.

Jim joined us for an intimate Sunday evening performance in the Tasting Room, bringing exactly the kind of relaxed, acoustic sound we envisioned when we started building our local music program.

We are incredibly grateful to Jim and all of the local musicians who have helped us bring live music into the space while Drink A Bull is still finding its footing.
