Water Oaks Farm

This week we officially said goodbye to Water Oaks Farm.

It was a bittersweet goodbye as we completed the chapter on one of the most rewarding experiences we have ever undertaken, but it was time to move on. A lot of hard but valuable lessons were learned during our time at Water Oaks and we will never forget the nearly 9 years spent there. We are forever grateful to everyone who supported us and the farm and helped us build it into what it became.

One to the next chapter.

P.S. - The animals were all re-homed (re-farmed?) to amazing places where they will continue as pets and friends to their new owners, including 751bees and Elevenses Llamas and Miniature Donkeys

Still there. My heart will always be here (until I power wash it off) but my love is looking forward to traveling the Italian countryside.

Instead of our normal walk, I decided to take the boys into the freshly cut front pasture. They could not have been happier with that decision. -squirms

Spent Sunday with a power-washer and blower in hand. Can’t move tonight but it looks great! And today is our 24th wedding anniversary so I made a little shmud shoutout to my Eric Forehand. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s taken 9 years to get soil this rich. I wish it was IN my raised beds and not the walkway. Oh well.

Kind of like a dream... this is the first morning in roughly 9 years I didn’t have to get up and do farm chores! And it was amazingly strange. Clarice got all settled into her new forever retirement home. So we are down to 2 tiny dogs and some ducks that will stay on the pond. 😬😬😬
