We also sell plants, duck and chicken eggs, handmade crafts, and energy boosted crystals and stones. Formally: Hux Family Farm NOW: Avery Family Farm

Our events include goat yoga, horse and goat snuggles, morning yoga on the farm, mini retreats for healing, and private healing sessions. Our passion is sharing our amazing animals with people and the relaxation, love, and joy they bring. We hope to

heal the world one visitor at a time :)

We have goats, sheep, horses, pigs, ducks, geese, dogs, and cats. We operate like a non-profit, but don't have that status yet. We are a no kill farm and are trying to be the forever home for as many of our animals as we can. We also host summer camps for kids and are working on some new programs coming in 2022. Consider following our social media, and donating through our Patreon. www.patreon.com/averyfamilyfarm
We have lots of donation levels with many different benefits. Including one with access to lots of healing videos and tools. Your monthly donations (no matter how big or small) help us continue to feed and home our animals, and provide assistance for programs to those who don't have the income for much needed healing.

Cordelia and I had a blast on our field trip to Springhaven Farm (check out all the great photos).

P.s. the alpaca sneeze was on me not Cordelia. We thankfully didn't get a picture of that 😋

The staff was awesome, friendly, and kind. And the animals were fun, adorable, and seemed genuinely happy. The farm was clean, well maintained, big, and beautiful.

Our farm and their's are different in all the best ways, so we were able to really enjoy lots of things we don't get the opportunity to do here.

Like hug a baby goat, and hand feed animals. Plus there were things we didn't get to try like gem mining, and mini golf, so we have to go back 😁

Both their farm and ours have a deep love of animals and getting folks outside and enjoying farm life.

It's a great place for kids and families. And if you are an adult that adores farm animals you will love it too!

I vote you visit both farms!

For entertainment, lots of animals and space, hand feeding, and extra activities check out Springhaven.

For relaxation, chill atmosphere, small group unique experience, and snuggly goats that lay in your lap come here.

It's a win win!

All I know is we are lucky to live in ! So many fun things to do within 30 min.

The , , , tons of beautiful hiking trails along the Eno River and Falls Lake, and of course us here at 💕

Where should our next field trip take us?

Potato was loving her humans but feeling lonely for a chicken friend.

Anytime we would need to do other things she would call out for us (chicken siren style....iykyk 😂)

In all the snake drama that caused the original issues with hatching, Lentil had been stolen from her mom by our other momma hen.

She didn't seem super attached to the new mom, and would often be a little further away than the other babies.

So I picked her up (without a peep), and took her to meet Potato.

At first they were unsure about each other. Especially Potato. Lentil mostly just settled right in as if she'd always been in the brooder 😍

But Potato had only been around humans so wasn't quite sure.

The chicken siren stopped though, and she was much less bothered when we had to leave the room.

Within hours they were eating and drinking together, playing on us, and taking naps together.

A beautiful friendship is blooming and I am so grateful to get to be a part of it.

Can't wait to share more of this journey with all of you. ❤️

Sweet Potato is on her first adventures of life. 💜

Sorry it's taken me a little while to update you guys. It has been a journey this last week. This little one has been through loneliness (she has a friend now), a virus scare, and a vitamin difficiency that left her unable to walk. But she is better now and I have time to edit all the videos and pictures I have gotten!

I'll post lots of it here, but if you want more from Potato and all the farm animals (and help support the farm), head over to our Patreon http://patreon.com/averyfamilyfarm

We have some awesome tiers ranging from $5-$10. And all your support goes straight back to the care of all our sweet animals ❤️

❤️ing, watching the videos a few times, commenting, sharing, or remixing also help the rest of our followers get to see what we post.

Thanks for being here! Hope your day is as sweet as potato 😉

Tough beginning, but this little one is a trooper.

She (because we are hoping for a hen), was part of the nest that was hatching for one of our moms.

But a snake came in and scared momma off the rest of the hatching eggs.

I wanted to give them a chance so I brought them inside under a heat lamp.

We lost 8 but this little egg kept peeping.

Struggling with what to do I finally decided to help just a little.

And the next time we checked on her she had hatched!!!!

This isn't the end of her story, and I can't wait to share more with you.

She is teaching me so much about perseverance and never giving up.

I read something over about the fact that she has a rule: As long as the animal is still trying she will keep trying for them.

It stuck with me.

It's what I've always done without realizing it, but now I want to move forward in the stewardship of these sweet beings in that intention.

We have some new babies on the farm! And I have a surprise coming for you about a story of resilience and never giving up 💜

Stay tuned for some smiles and cuteness in your feed. It's time to embrace the hope and light of spring! 🐥

Thanks for being here ❤️

I am considered completely cancer free and done with monthly checks!!!!!!!!

Can't begin to explain the feelings right now. The gratitude for the growth that came with this journey, the appreciation for my sweet Cordelia, and the gratitude for the amazing team I had at Duke Cancer Center.

Through one of the worst experiences of my life, I had some of the best experiences and growth.

Tomorrow isn't promised, but today is full of beauty and joy in each breath taken, each bite of good food, every smile that we are given and give, the hugs from our children, and the gifts from the nature that surrounds us.

The more gratitude and joy we find and spread, the more peaceful and beautiful the world becomes.

Wishing you blessings, joy, and beauty today 💜 Thanks for being here!

This world and our culture is so full of go and busyness and "have to's".

The goats are inviting you to:

take a moment

enjoy the warmth of the sun on your face

listen to the birds

bask in the beauty of spring's blooms

and just breathe.

Go on....try it.

Please ❤️ and share with someone who could use a pause with these zen goats 🐐

And when you are ready come relax with us in person. I promise you won't regret it and will leave smiling (just like Spirit) 😁
