Ray stops by most Saturdays to stock up on produce for the current menu and get the scoop on what’s growing next. Those conversations often shape what ends up on future menus. Lily and George farm just up the road in Person County, but you can find them every Saturday at the Durham Farmers Market.

More not so late-night sweet adventures in our house. On cooler nights when then baby’s down we take a dip in the hot tub, and then share a sweet snack.

This week it was gluten-free Strawberry Icebox Pie. Next week?- Banana pudding.

A pupusa & a pup.

Last week’s gluten-free Bean & Cheese Pupusas made for a pretty great lunch. Black beans and Oaxaca cheese are tucked into a masa cake and served with salsa and a crunchy slaw.

Last night’s dinner: dump, warm, top, eat.

This pozole from last week’s menu made for an easy meal. Chunks of pork braised with hominy in a rich broth, finished with cabbage, cilantro, radish, and lime.

Hi! We’re Local Mise, a weekly prepared food drop bringing chef-crafted meals straight to your table.

While we love catering events and hosting pop-ups, our meal drops are the heart of what we do- and the easiest way to enjoy our food week after week.

Our menu changes every week, with both pickup and delivery options available. Orders are open Tuesday through Friday for Monday pickup or Tuesday delivery.
