Yesterday, I posted on my personal page how excited I was to have *FINALLY * gotten a single fresh egg after a year of no fresh eggs. If you’ve EVER doubted the difference between farm fresh and store bought; here it is in one picture summed up. You just can’t beat the flavor of them-or the rich coloring!!

I was absolutely shocked today while speaking with a customer at work...

He had just purchased chicks, and was asking me about food and water stuff. Then he asked,
"Is there anything else I need?"
So I started running through basic things, and when I said "Heat lamp", he then said
"Ive been doing some research and we are going to try the no heat method"
I was just silent...I thought that was a bad joke. I said "Are you serious?" And he said "Yeah we've been watching youtube videos about both methods"

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HECK!!

Is there misinformation floating around the internet saying chicks dont need heat??!!
I told him "Without heat they will 100% die" and he seemed skeptical to hear that.
Im hoping I convinced him to get a heat lamp, but he still seemed warry.
Dear god people, please do your research BEFORE bringing home a live animal. I hope those babies make it.

In all my years of owning animals I've never heard of a "No heat method" for newborn chicks...
