Due to today's weather and wind forecast The Patchwork Kitchen will NOT be at the Wilkes-Barre Farmer's Market today! However, we will be at the Carbondale Farmers Market from 3-6pm today as well as taking orders from the house from 8am-6pm! DM for details on home pickup or delivery ( I have plenty of goodies to go around!). I will see my Wilkes-Barre peeps next Thursday at the market if I don't see you today! Have a wonderful day!

Skip the mass-produced souvenirs and meet the makers at Patchtown Days + Bluegrass Dispatch, coming up on June 20 & 21.

Shop homemade, hand-made items from across NEPA: fresh baked goods from The Patchwork Kitchen and MJK's Sweet Delights, home decor from Bent Halo Crafts and Creations, and artwork from Hazleton Art League. Jayne M. Booth, author of the "Rocked in the Cradle of Coal," will be signing books in the gift shop. Other vendors will offer mead, jewelry, antique underground lighting, woodcrafts, embroidery, and much more!

Sign up for a workshop (or two) to walk away with a new skill and a handcrafted item of your own. Meckley Brooms is back this year with broom-making workshops, and Knightsmith is offering blacksmithing classes. Pre-register at https://eckleyminersvillage.com/patchtown_days/

One stop. Six museums. On June 20 & 21, Patchtown Days + Bluegrass Dispatch will bring together some of NEPA's leading heritage organizations for one weekend only.

Step into an 1850s miner's home to see the National Canal Museum's/Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's traveling exhibit "Dynamo! Innovators, Inventors and Architects of Revolutionary Change." Visit the 1940s Nicholas House to check out "Carbon & Light: Anthracite as Subject and Medium," an exhibition by Bischoff Inn artists-in-residence Andrea Krupp and Michael Froio. The National Museum of Industrial History, Luzerne County Historical Society, and Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center will also join us with artifacts, photographs, and stories from their collections.

Mark your calendars for this rare opportunity to experience the Coal Region's history and culture in a single visit!
