Sam Kanter Events Sam Kanter Events partners with restaurant events to outsource their event programs and provide event booking, consulting, offsite catering and staffing.

After years of coordinating events for restaurant groups in Boston, Sam has decided to move forward with her own concept. During her search for new opportunities, she found some of the most intriguing restaurants in the city had great event opportunities, but not enough volume to warrant a full time person. By working on a freelance basis with various venues, Sam feels she can bring her expertise

in event planning to these spaces that wouldn't otherwise have the ability to utilize a true event planner. The concept allows Sam to focus on restaurants, where her passion lies, while also allowing her to provide her clients with the intimate care she specializes in.

12 years. It’s been a full dozen trips around the sun of business ownership and I’m sure it’ll get easier any day now.

All 3 of my businesses are unique and challenging in their own right, each with different definitions of success

But, they all have one thing in common, me and the choices I make. A choice I made 12 years ago has allowed me to continue making choices ever since. This past year has been the hardest one yet, but I get to choose to push forward, and that choice is worth a lot.

It’s been such a whirlwind I forgot to post a milestone I thought I may never reach. Ten years of SKE.

A decade as a business owner makes me feel very old, but also wise and ready for the next chapter.

Per tradition, I celebrate each year doing whatever I want, which usually involves the beach and caviar. This year was no exception.
