Tonight, we are thankful for a mama who can rest, recover, and still be here to help make sure her kid who made it can grow healthy 🩷

Because farming isn’t always fresh babies and cute photos.

This kidding season has been hard.

There have been long nights.
There have been losses.
There have been lessons we didn’t ask for.

It would be easy to only post the healthy babies and the happy moments — and trust me, we treasure those. But this life also comes with heartbreak. And our kids are learning that firsthand.

They’re learning that:
• Not every story ends the way we hope.
• Hard work doesn’t guarantee easy outcomes.
• Loving something means risking loss.
• We show up anyway.

They’ve helped check mamas in the cold.
They’ve asked the hard questions.

Farm life isn’t always about new life.
Sometimes it’s about resilience.
Sometimes it’s about responsibility.
Sometimes it’s about understanding that life and loss can sit in the same barn.

And while it’s hard… I’m grateful they’re learning strength, compassion, and grit right alongside us.

This is the real farm life. 🤍

It was a long and chilly night last night but we have two new kids that hit the ground and everyone is doing great even with these temps 🩷💙

Let us know if you are local and have a tree you are finished with during the season.

We are one month away from baby goats to start hitting the ground and this is a great treat that also helps keep our goats healthy!
