How has it been just over a year since Joey and Ollie landed stateside??

HTF Charming Cooley and HTF Cooley Twist have shown us that they love their people and their ”jobs”.

It’s been a crazy year, full of so many changes and challenges, but Joey and Ollie keep exceeding expectations again and again! Special thanks to Lee Maher, the man in the irons, for stepping in and making it all look so damn easy!

⭐️Mare Appreciation Monday⭐️

I’ll be the first to admit that until recently my experience with mares was limited. Didn’t really want to own one for all of the reasons that most people say they prefer geldings.

If you know me, you know I’ve always believed strongly in the idea of don’t tell me what you’re going to do, show me. (Must be the Missourian in me.)

And show me they have.

HTF Cosmic Cooley and HTF Chin n’ Juice have shown me and continue to teach me all the reasons most mare people love their mares.

Honest. Brave. Very independent. Sometimes sharp. Intelligent. Protective. All business.

Earn her trust and she’ll walk thru 🔥 for you.

Happy Gotcha Day Baby Beckett!!

3 years ago today a goofy, red headed, 4 year old ISH stepped off a trailer at zero dark thirty in the morning and captured my heart.

Though he struggled in his first year of competition, Beckett found his groove and his person and, damn, it’s been amazing to watch. And the best part is, he’s not done yet!!

Proud of you, B! Mesmerized by your heart, your grit and your patience with your “mom”. Struck out the first time trying to find you your person, but you continue to show me that I got it right the second time. ❤️

Your attention loving, all the foods all the time, good hair having, 🍊🐒 self is so very loved. Can’t wait to see where that HUGE heart of yours takes you and Chris next.

Happy Monday everyone! Leo just wanted to pop in and say hey (🤦‍♀️ sorry, I had to) and give y’all an update.

He and his fellow HTF ponies are all headed to Terra Nova this week with Chris, Lee and Chelsea for their last big outing of the year. After that comes a much needed break for humans and equines!

MBF Firebrand, who y’all know as Beckett, will be contesting his first 3L. Which, if you know his story, is a feat I thought impossible two years ago. But here we are! I’m sooo excited.

And the best part, I get to go cheer everyone on! ✈️🌴🌊

Hi Everyone! It’s been a very busy last few weeks and somewhere along the way I missed posting about the 2024 Young Event Horse Championships.

CSF Darwin, known to us as Dallas, finished 4th in a ridiculously talented group of 30 four year old horses. Arriving stateside in the first few days of August, it was a BIG ask of this sweet boy to not only qualify for, but compete at, the championships at the Maryland 5 Star.

And he did it, and did it so very well. Chris and Lee came through, as they ALWAYS do. With Chris in the irons and Lee behind the scenes, Dallas found the entire experience quite easy. The judges loved him. But then again, what’s not to love???

A great weekend was made even better by HM Belterra, also ridden by Chris, owned by Kimmie Risser, finished second in the same 4 year old championships. That sweet mare is a force to be reckoned with y’all. The story of how she got to be where she is today is, honestly, so damn cool.

Put together 2 supremely capable young horses and two amazingly talented horsemen, throw in a fabulous venue and it was definitely a weekend not soon forgotten.

HTF Charming Cooley has a very easy, go to work personality that makes him a great competitor. At only 5 years old, he’s learning to keep his feet moving and that he can, in fact, go fast and jump big!

His sweet personality combined with his color (a very white grey) has earned him his own nickname and hashtag. We’re proud to introduce…

TBT to the 2024 American Eventing Championships in Lexington, KY. Really wasn’t that long ago, but every time I watch this video I just get the biggest grin on my face. HTF Cosmic Cooley (aka Mara) and Yeardley had their first proper XC schooling at Plain Dealing yesterday. Mara quickly reminded us exactly why Yeardley fell in love with her in Ireland last winter. At only 5 years old she’s got a super brain and was brave to every question presented to her.
