Oh Canada! Congratulations to Felicity Groves and Austyn Groves of Van Gro Farms of Brantford, Ontario, Canada, who showed this stylish Krafka Harkema Suffolks ram lamb to the Overall Grand Champion Ram title at the 168th Paris Fair in Brandt County, Paris, Ontario, Canada, September 7, 2026.

At the fair, fitted and slick shorn sheep competed for the overall title.

Congratulations, girls, on bringing out the best in this stylish, upfronted, deep bodied, fast growing Suffolk ram lamb.

Maren serves as an intern for the United Junior Suffolk Sheep Association - UJSSA.

Maren also showed her Grand Champion Yorkshire hog to the Champion Purebred Hog and the overall Reserve Grand Champion Hog at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair. Way to drive home those hog show wins, Maren!

We also congratulate Maren’s younger sister, Helen Kulas, who showed her Krafka Harkema Suffolks ewe lamb to second place in the February ewe lamb class in 2026 Minnesota State Fair 4-H Sheep Show.

Good luck to Nicole Thoeny as she competes in the Open Junior Show September 1 at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair with her Suffolk sheep. Nicole showed this fancy February ewe lamb to Reserve Champion Suffolk Ewe Lamb honors in the 2026 Minnesota State Fair #4-H Sheep Show.

Look and touch! Judge Kyle Thayer takes a look and handles our Krafka Harkema Suffolks Fall purebred Suffolk ewe that earned the Grand Champion Fall Slick Shorn honors at the 2026 Iowa State Fair open Suffolk show.

Thayer, of Massachusetts, judged the show held Saturday, August 22 in Des Moines.

Exhibitors from 15 states and one Canadian province exhibited registered Suffolks at the 2026 open show, which saw a welcome return of green shavings to the show ring.
