I feel like now is a good time to remind people: this page is political.

Having horses is political.

I cannot feed and care for horses when water resources are being depleted.

I cannot continue to provide a good life for myself and my animals if the environment needed to do so is being destroyed by warmongers.

I cannot enjoy riding when climate change is destroying and disrupting the world I need to exist within in order to ride.

I cannot stuff hay nets when farmers are going bankrupt or having poor yields due to drought conditions and exorbitant fertilizer and gas prices.

I despise Donald Trump and politicians like him.

I resent the fact that his unfettered corruption and greed is stealing the futures from millions of people.

I am outraged by the many that are harmed by him, many much less fortunate than I, losing their homes, families or their own lives.

Our very existence on this planet is political.

And anyone who is still denying could end up helping create the reality where they finally have to sit with the fact that their existence is political… but only come to that realization when the world is already depleted and destroyed.

This page is political.

Our existence is political.

If you claim otherwise, what you’re really saying is that you lack the backbone and desire to stand up for what is important.

If you enjoy living and having clean drinking water,
you are political.

Don’t choose neutrality over the temporary discomfort that comes with protecting the world we all need to live.

I hope I live to see the day where the people in power are actually acting for the interests of many… not just the selfish interests of the few.

This page is political.

And you should be too.

Let’s protect the beautiful world that we live in because we can’t get back much of what we destroy within our lifetime.

Turning a blind eye from the problems of the world until you’re personally impacted in a big way is just securing a future in which you’ll have no one to help you when you’re finally targeted.

We SHOULD care about politics.

We SHOULD care about human rights.

We SHOULD be bothered by tyranny and corruption.

The best response to someone who wants to own horses:

The best way to see if horses are a good choice for you is to start by planning your entire life around being home to feed them. If that feels ok, go outside in the rain when you’re very sick and fling mud around with a rake for about 10 minutes. If you’re still into it, take 90% of your money and just give it away. If these things don’t bring you to your knees, then horses are right for you.🤣😭

The fires are stressing me out beyond belief, but I’m a big believer in planning ahead! Making lists and checking them twice, thrice, a hundred times!

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Much of the Northwest is currently under Red Flag Warnings for fires, and the Boise area is expecting high winds and lightning. Even if you're not under immediate threat from wildfire, windblown embers can travel a mile or more! Do you have an evacuation plan in place for your horses? Have you taken steps to reduce wildfire risk on your property? Use these FREE resources to make sure you cover all your bases:
