THANK YOU FOR AN INCREDIBLE 2026 SEASON 🫐
Yesterday, we welcomed the final U-Pick customers of the year and officially closed the fields on our 2026 blueberry season.
And as we look back on another summer at Captain Blueberry, the two words that keep coming to mind are simply: thank you.
Thank you to every person who drove out to the farm, grabbed a bucket, walked our rows, and picked blueberries with us this summer. Thank you to the families who made a day at Captain Blueberry part of their summer tradition. Thank you to the parents and grandparents who brought their kids and grandkids, to the familiar faces who return year after year, and to the first-time visitors who decided to give our little farm a try.
Thank you to everyone who purchased fresh berries, picked U-Pick, stopped by our storefront, visited us at a farmers market, told a friend about us, shared one of our posts, or simply offered a kind word.
Every bit of it matters.
Farming has a way of keeping you humble. There are long days, early mornings, late nights, unpredictable weather, equipment that doesn’t always cooperate, and plenty of moments when Mother Nature reminds you who’s really in charge.
But then summer comes.
The fields fill with people. We hear kids laughing between the rows. We see families spending time together. We catch up with customers who have become friends over the years. And suddenly all those hours of work have a purpose much bigger than simply growing blueberries.
You have allowed our family to keep doing something we truly love, and we don’t take that for granted.
We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to our family, friends, and extended Captain Blueberry family who step up behind the scenes every season. Whether you’ve helped in the fields, worked the storefront, picked berries, moved flats, helped at markets, shared our posts, sent customers our way, or simply encouraged us during the busiest days of summer — thank you.
Captain Blueberry would not be what it is without all of you.
Although U-Pick is officially finished for 2026, we aren’t disappearing! 🫐
We have frozen blueberries available year-round, as well as blueberry plants, so please don’t hesitate to reach out throughout the fall, winter, and spring.
And before we know it, the bushes will wake back up, the berries will begin turning blue, and we’ll be opening those gates again for another summer.
Until then, from our family to yours:
Thank you for supporting our farm.
Thank you for supporting local agriculture.
Thank you for choosing Captain Blueberry.
And most importantly, thank you for becoming part of our story.
We are incredibly grateful for another season, and we hope you know how much your support truly means to our family.
Here’s to a little rest, a lot of gratitude, and another beautiful blueberry season ahead.
We’ll see you throughout the year — and we’ll see you back in the fields in 2027. 🫐💙
With sincere gratitude,
The Captain Blueberry Family.
