I was going through my camera roll and realized that I missed posting these pics last summer from Colin Mordhorst. Impressive that he raised the Grand Champion pen of three at Harrison County Fair in 2019 and placed third in the breed class with his Hampshire purchase. Nice job feeding and fitting! Can't wait for summer to return and seeing how your 2020 project turns out.

🐽Reserve Champion Barrow (wide belted pig)
🐽Grand Champion Gilt (middle pig)
🐽Grand Champion Overall (middle pig)

The wide belt barrow was sired by Playing Dirty and farrowed by the sow we call Megan's Blue.

The narrow belted gilts were sired by a Megan's Blue son sired by Party Up North and farrowed by a purebred Hampshire sow (Thunderstruck X Sledgehammer).

We purchased a new boar at the expo in DesMoines we are excited about. He should make some great show pigs for 2020. He comes from Mench show pigs in Indiana. We love his pedigree....Dirty Secret X Visionary X Drop Shot.

Congratulations to Caleb Cook for his success at the Marion County Fair- Reserve Champion Heavy Weight Market Hog. Caleb's 12-12 gilt was sired by Roger Carlson's boar Knockout and farrowed in January by a sow we call Megan's Blue. Megan's Blue is an All Blue Sky daughter from the Ray Gaskill farm. Caleb also placed first in his commercial gilt class with a littermate to the gilt pictured here
