Somehow. 😂

After a journey involving questionable mechanical decisions, one blown coupler, Vinny rolling coal like he was personally trying to fumigate Virginia, roadside repairs, approximately 47 moments of “well… THAT doesn’t sound right,” and a husband whose blood pressure I probably shouldn’t ask about…

WE MADE IT TO NORTH CAROLINA. 🖤😂

Vinny survived.
The trailer survived.
The products survived.
The husband survived.

And against all odds, I survived being supervised by all of them. 🤣

Today’s road-trip update, as told by the vehicles:

Corbie: “I’m doing my best to get her there, but she isn’t making it easy!”

Vinny (Papa Bear): “SHE’S TOWING WHAT?!” 😳

We finally gave up in Clarks Summit around 1 a.m. because I was exhausted, Corbie was exhausted, and the trailer was back there acting like it had never agreed to participate in this trip.

We’re almost to home #2 in Charlottesville now, where I plan to check on all my plant babies before picking up Vinny (the big, jacked-up F-350 diesel with the snowplow) ... and the anxious energy of a husband who just found out what his wife has been doing unsupervised. 😂

The trailer is wicked heavy and has Corbie getting tossed around the road like a grocery cart with one bad wheel. My Jeep people understand the rogue wobble. Corbie may be small, but she is stubborn, determined, and apparently inherited that from her driver.

We’re a little behind schedule, but still doing good and taking it carefully.

Corbie is getting me to Virginia. Then Papa Bear is entering the chat to haul this ridiculous trailer the rest of the way. 🛻🖤

Please keep us in your thoughts... especially Vinny, who hasn’t even started driving yet and is already stressed.

And just like that… Corbie is pointed south, the trailer is packed, and we are officially on the road!

Next stop: North Carolina and the NC Mountain State Fair! 🎡

There’s something a little wild about watching Maine disappear in the rearview mirror knowing just how much is packed into this trip. A Jeep, a very full trailer, months of work, probably too much coffee, and a whole lot of Raven & Wolfsbane headed south. 😂☕️

But Maine, don’t get too comfortable without me.

I’ll be back before you know it… and next time I roll into town, I’ll have HORSES IN TOW. 🐴🐴🌲

Y’all… I have rebuilt, rewritten, rearranged, deleted, changed my mind, changed it BACK, stared at this thing until I couldn’t see straight, and probably threatened to throw my computer at least 47 times. 😂

But https://www.ravenandwolfsbane.com/ is FINALLY back online!**

And this time, it actually feels like **us.**

Not just a website with some products thrown on it. It finally tells the story of what I’m building here.

Raven & Wolfsbane.
Aurora Haven.
The Learning Center.
The Raven’s Nest.
The Pantry.
The workshops, the old skills, the handmade things, the land, the plans, and all the slightly crazy ideas I keep turning into real things. 🖤

There are still things I’ll be adding and tinkering with because apparently I am physically incapable of leaving anything alone 😂 BUT SHE’S LIVE.

My baby is officially back in action! 🎬
She’s a little rough around the edges, needs some serious TLC and definitely needs a new floor, but I cannot tell you how happy I am to see this old girl rocking and rolling again.
This trailer has WORK to do, and I’ve got plenty waiting for her. 😂
A huge thank you to some pretty incredible friends who helped get my little work horse moving again. Sometimes bringing Aurora Haven back to life isn’t about buying something shiny and new. Sometimes it’s about looking at something old, weathered and still good underneath and saying...
“Yep. We can fix her.” 🖤
Now comes the fun part. Time to bring this girl back to life too.
