Spring cleaning in the vineyard
See those leafy green shoots sprouting from the trunk and base of the vine? Those are suckers: unwanted growth that pops up every spring below the fruiting zone where the grape clusters will form. They steal energy from the vine and trap humidity around the trunk, inviting mildew and disease.

Our tractor-mounted suckerer uses rotating filaments that whip away the young, soft shoots while leaving the woody, mature parts of the vine untouched and ready to grow a healthy crop.
