A) The Classic Cheeseburger
B) A Mediterranean Lamb Burger
C) A Zesty Grilled Chicken Burger
Ingredients for Juicy Grilled Burgers (makes 8):
2 pounds of TBS ground beef (80/20 makes the juiciest burgers)
1 egg, beaten
¾ cup dry bread crumbs
3 tablespoons evaporated milk
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 slices of thick-cut cheddar cheese
8 sets of brioche hamburger buns, with insides buttered
Your favorite add-ons: sliced tomatoes, red onions, pickles, cooked bacon, and lettuce
Your favorite sauces: mixture of 1/2 cup mayonnaise with your choice of 1 tablespoon of ketchup, BBQ sauce, yellow mustard, or Dijon mustard
Directions:
Start by preparing all of your add-ons and sauces. Your choices are endless, but the trick is having many choices. For example, adding two slices of tomatoes and a healthy dollop of sauce on each bun will add incredible juiciness to your burger.
Fire up the grill. Your grill should be set for high heat.
Use a large bowl to combine the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, evaporated milk, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and minced garlic.
Divide the beef into 8 balls. Flatten each into a patty with a small divot in the middle of each. The divot collects juices and keeps the patty from puffing up on the grill.
Grill your burgers for 4-5 minutes per side. Since every grill is different, the only accurate way to know if your burgers are done is to measure their internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Burgers should reach 160°F at their thickest parts. Add a slice of cheese to each patty when flipped over.
While the burgers are on the grill, grill the buns with the buttered sides down. Toasting the buns will keep the bread from absorbing all the juice.
When the burgers are done, collect all the patties and buns for assembly.
Start putting the burgers together by putting sauce on each of the buns. Then, place your desired add-ons on the bottom bun. Set the grilled burger on top of the add-ons and cover with the top bun. Slice in half if desired.
