STOP HARMING & MANAGING WILD HORSES TO EXTINCTION!
PLEASE Call
I. the Bureau of Land Management's Colorado state Director is Doug Vilsack
AND
2. Secretary Deb Haaland- who oversees the Bureau of Land Management
Suggested Speaking Points:
"The Colorado Little Book Cliff's wild mare who broke her leg at today's BLM Little Book Cliffs roundup with her foal by her side was an absolute, cruel and unnecessary death and is counter to the WH&BF Protection Act Law of 1971!!!
This wild horse herd has been managed for 20 years with fertility control and there is no reason 211 horses can’t remain on 36,000 acres! And then the contractor making her go another mile struggling and suffering to the trap site is without a doubt taxpayer funded animal cruelty!!!
Nevada BLM has blood on their hands and the public opposes this operation!
We Request an Immediate Cease of All
1. BLM wild horse removals,
2. an investigation into the unnecessary death of the federally protect wild mare and subsequent harm for her foal and the herds, and of the 47 other wild horses killed recently during BLM roundups -
3. and we further request the removed horses be returned to their rightful and our public lands-forthwith!
It is high time-America's wild horses be protected and managed as the keystone species and gift that they naturally are- and as a resource in protecting the Wild West from climate change and wildfire devastation. Thank You in advance for rising up now to honor these magnificent icons."
