We had a great time on Saturday at The Houston Lodge for our first steak cook-off competition.

We are real proud that we took home 4th place. This is our first time finishing in the money and we got a perfect score on doneness as our crowning achievement.

Thanks to Alaska BBQ Association, Three Bears Alaska Inc. and The Houston Lodge for setting it up and sponsoring.

Big shout out to our SCA reps John and Michelle Mann for putting in the work to make SCA events happen up here. Akbbq Mann

We look forward to the next competition down in Soldotna next month. We’ve got some pretty creative ideas coming out of the test kitchen for the appetizer ancillary category.
