We are excited to be a part of the ASA’s Shorthorn Beef Producers list. 1st one in Idaho!

The Shorthorn Beef program is an avenue for connecting the breed’s cattle producers with those interested in buying locally raised beef. The effort includes promotional opportunities through social media, the ASA website and other media platforms.

Breakdown the numbers behind our latest partnership!

ASA and Simplot Livestock evaluated approximately 10,000 Shorthorn-influenced cattle within one of the world’s largest BCHF genomic databases. Simplot Livestock’s research database includes 35,000+ animals, genomic information, heart and lung score data and detailed phenotypic evaluations. Based on these figures the Shorthorn breed comes out on top, with 96% of the breed’s dataset falling into the low-risk category of the BCHF ranking system.

This is the 2nd year in a row that Belle has claimed Female of the Year! Last year while she was carrying Bronx, and this year with him on her side. A really fun pair to travel with. Bronx passed his semen test last month and went out to summer lease working on a herd last weekend. Excited to see those calves next year! We have been extremely impressed with his performance and growth.
