Having property along a highway or any busy road, this is what you have to deal with every time you mow. There’s more if this 18 wheeler’s tire, just haven’t gotten that far yet.
𝐏𝐒𝐀 𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭, but if you see someone picking up trash, broke down or mowing, change lanes and get out of that outside lane.

🐝 World Bee Day 🐝

Today, May 20 is World Bee Day!

This day is about much more than just celebrating our favorite buzzing garden visitors, it’s a vital reminder of the importance of protecting pollinators and addressing their global decline.

When most people think of bees, they think of honey bees. But did you know Texas is home to more than 1,000 species of native bees? Texas is one of the most diverse regions in the country for pollinators. These remarkable insects play a critical role in sustaining healthy ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, and pollinating many of the plants that feed and beautify our world.

Bees may be small, but their impact is enormous. From pollinating fruits and vegetables to supporting native plants and wildlife, bees are an essential part of our ecosystem. Unfortunately, habitat loss and pesticide use continue to pose serious challenges to their survival.

So how can you help?

🌼 #1 Think before you spray.
Pesticides don’t just affect pests — they can also harm beneficial insects like bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators.

🌼 #2 Plant for pollinators.
Consider adding native pollinator-friendly plants and creating small habitat spaces that help bees thrive.

Finding native plants can sometimes be difficult since many big box stores don’t carry them. Look for local nurseries or garden centers that specialize in native plants.

Here’s one of our favorite resources for Central Texas native flowering plants:

Every small step helps. Supporting pollinators today helps ensure healthier gardens, farms, and ecosystems for future generations. 🐝🌻
