Today Rockland Farms mourns the loss of one of its oldest members.


Sorprendido (Sorpie), was foaled on Feb 2, 1982 (Age: 37.5). He led a full and exciting life, first as a show horse, and in retirement as a pasture partner. His father Coral LaCE won the National all-breed, 5-event horse competition and was considered one of the top three horses in America. Sorpie continued his legacy, winning several prestigious awards in his prime.

He is survived by his pasture buddy and life long friend, Nitro, and all of us here at Rockland Farms. Rest easy, bud. You will be missed.
