year 3 of the annual collab with TightKnit Brewing Co. and we brewed up Yacht Club! a crisp, hop-forward West Coast Pilsner built on a foundation of 100% Yacht Rock malt from Troubadour Maltings.

this beer brings together everything we love about modern lager brewing—bright, clean, and endlessly drinkable—with the punchy hop character of a West Coast. keeping every sip refreshing enough to make you wish you were on a boat or at least in a pool.

it’s time for a beer.

a week ago, our glycol chiller went down. fermentation tanks were full. we can’t make a finished product without the chiller. despite doing everything we could to save the beer, we ultimately had to dump a large amount of it. it’s the kind of loss that hurts in every way.

this 2 year old chiller is still down. it’s on us to figure it out and get back to making product for you.

our ask, come drink us dry. grab a friend, get a pint, take home a 4pack or case. be patient as beers kick, we can’t make more until this is fixed.

a huge shoutout to Ross and Amy over at Second Dawn for helping us save our premium lager, Big John, for our fundraiser yesterday. thank you to everyone else who offered to help.

every beer you enjoy helps us recover and gets us one step closer to brewing the next batch. we can’t wait to fill those tanks again.

we’re proud to release Big John, a Premium Lager brewed in partnership with the Firefighters of Aurora Benevolent Fund.

named after the legendary fire truck that served the Aurora community for years, Big John is a crisp, refreshing lager built to honor the firefighters who continue to show up when it matters most.

to celebrate the release, we’re throwing a release party in our taproom and giving back in a meaningful way. 15% of all sales on June 20th will be donated directly to the Firefighter of Aurora Benevolent Fund, helping support local firefighters and their families.

Big John was given the honor of becoming a local landmark this year and will be making an appearance this Saturday. its nickname is believed to have been inspired from the early 1960s song “Big John” by Jimmy Dean, a nod to the truck’s imposing presence.
