The lore of Bad Martha:

On the bottom of every six-pack one can read the Legend of Bad Martha: "In 1602, mischievous winds drove Bartholomew Gosnold's ship to Martha's Vineyard. As legend has it, he scoured the island for ingredients to brew ale for his crew. Alas, he found none and fell asleep on the shore. Under the light of the full moon, he awoke to a sensuous mermaid with jet black hair and a devilish grin. Sitting at water's edge, she beckoned to Gosnold. The closer he got, the further she swam- tempting him to follow. So he did. Finally, he found himself in a field brimming with lush island grapes. These would be perfect for w**e, he thought. But nay, he was an Englishman, so these grapes became the secret ingredient for a robust, refreshing b**r. Gosnold never saw the mermaid again. He went to his grave wondering if he ever saw her at all. Today, we brew every handcrafted b**r as Gosnold did, with grape leaves harvested on the Vineyard and a splash of the mermaid's mischief. 🏕️🔥 Gone to Summer Camp! 🍺🍫 our Bad Martha B**r - East Falmouth

We’ll be closing early today at 5:30 PM as our Bad Martha crew heads to our annual Summer Camp Staff Appreciation Dinner.

For one evening, we’re trading pizza peels for campfires to celebrate the incredible team that serves up cold b**rs, hot pizzas, and great memories all summer long. It’s a chance for everyone to kick back, share some laughs, enjoy a few brews, and maybe even toast a s’more or two—they’ve earned it!

This will be our only summer schedule interruption, and we truly appreciate your understanding while we celebrate the people who make Bad Martha such a fun place to be.

We’ll be back to our regular hours tomorrow, refreshed, recharged, and ready to Get Bad. Do Good. 🍻❤️

🇺🇸🍺 RED, WHITE & BREW WEEKEND IS HERE! 🍺🇺🇸

A lot goes into preparing for one of the busiest weeks of the year on Cape Cod. From training new team members and stocking up on supplies to prepping pizza dough, b**r, and events, our team has been working hard behind the scenes to get ready for an amazing holiday weekend.

As General Manager, my goal is to make every visit to Bad Martha a great one. During peak times, wait times may be a little longer than usual, but please know our team is giving it their all.

Our staff includes local students, seasonal employees, J-1 international students, and year-round team members who are working hard to create a memorable experience for every guest. We kindly ask for patience, kindness, and respect as we celebrate one of the busiest weekends of the summer.

Thank you to our locals, summer residents, and visitors for your continued support. We appreciate every pint poured, every pizza shared, and every memory made.
