Don’t get caught off guard this winter without some natural healing essentials. I haven’t had this class in a while and I’m adding even more to it. Join us Saturday, September 26th at 1 pm in Willow Hill for a fun afternoon and get a great start on your natural apothecary.
Everyone in the class will be making a jar of fire cider, oil of oregano, infused honey and a salve. Cost for this class is $55 per person and includes everything plus some delicious food and herbal teas. Message to sign up.

They have taken turns with chasing each other around with a pumpkin. Who needs to buy dog toys, just grab something from the garden and they can entertain themselves for hours. It even ended up in their pool at one time.

We are looking for a few acres to rent around the Willow Hill area to pasture animals.
We both were talking the other day and want to bring more animals closer to home. We plan on rearranging stuff at home to bring more back but we don’t have the space for everything. I really miss having everything on the same property and it would hopefully give us more time to work with them and have time at home.
If anyone knows of anyone have them contact us.

Who's ready for fall decorating? This is a class to weave a 3 cob bundle of indian corn. This is beautiful hung on your front door or used to dress up your dining room table. Message to sign up. The cost for this class is $45 and includes everything plus food to enjoy while your weaving. Must be paid in full to reserve your spot. Come and enjoy a fun afternoon weaving baskets. This basket is a beginner friendly basket and I’ve had teens even enjoy doing it.

Lots of produce available this weekend. I can’t process quick enough so I’m trying to sell extra. Half bushels of paste tomatoes $20, half bushels of beets $18, slicer tomatoes $2.50 a pound, slicing cucumbers $1 each, half peck boxes sweet banana peppers and Hungarian hot $6. We are picking crates full everyday. If anyone is interested in purchasing anything message us with what you are interested in. Along with slicing and paste tomatoes and slicing and pickling cucumbers we are also picking carrots, red beets, bell peppers, Hungarian hot peppers and sweet banana peppers. Beans should be about a week out. I will have 2 crops of later pickling cucumbers and late beets and carrots as well. Homemade sauerkraut is also available.

The sky has been so beautiful lately in the evenings. The pasture is finally greening back up with all the rain so the cows have been spending more time grazing. The little ones are farther out. After the cows decided to go for a stroll at 3 am a while back we decided not to let them out all night until we get the permanent fence in. We came to the conclusion that deer tried to jump the net fencing and knocked it down and the cows took that as opportunity to meet the new neighbors in the middle of the night.

So much of the inside of the house came to a stop once it started to warm up and it was time for the garden to get planted and the animal housing set up. Not only do we have everything to get set up at the property where we live but also at the main farm. We finally got back into working in the basement this weekend. There are still lots more crates to unload with jars but we got more shelves built and jars set out. What I’m excited most about is the walk in cooler we are setting up in the basement. I can’t wait to fill it with all our storage crops to use all winter not to mention when we have animals to harvest.
