The cornfield may not be there next year. Also notice how nice our grass was before the recent years of drought. Farming is always hard, but it seams almost impossible recently.

Reminiscing of a backdrop that once was, and one that may not soon be. I could share a thousand more, and yet I wish I had taken more. There is now a 50' warehouse standing behind most of these photos, and a proposed date center behind the rest. It's very discouraging as I plan out my next step. The thousands of hours + finances we have poured into our farm. Just this spring we discussed buying several hundred peony roots to be able to cut your own flowers in the coming years. It feels like anything we do at this point would be a loss. I'm watering plants daily, already. If a date center comes in, I wont have a farm worth fighting for.

Selfishly I do no want to loose my view. But it's more than that. Data centers kill. Please help me fight this. And thank you to everyone who is and will continue to do so.

One of the best parts of new birth on the farm. Watching them learn to stand. She was standing and nursing an hour later.

“Bingo” the first heifer born in two years on our farm. Don’t worry, the kids were on the lookout for when mama was done eating her snack. She came back in a hurry. 😅

What an amazing world we get to enjoy. Please read the lyrics of one of my favorite songs. Gets me every time. I can’t find a good version online, I posted a video of some men at our church singing.

Faith is the victory.

1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Proud of my heritage. Pete pop left a legacy for us to remember and share with our children. “With Jesus, you’re always a winner” was on the back of his car.

The last picture is what poppop won the freedom 76 with and the Grandview speedway championship in 1976. Jamison was due a special achievement outing - we decided to take the whole family to ‘thunder on the hill’, which was both fun and crazy. Jami loves race cars. He is saving for a Lamborghini.

Motherhood is unconditional.
In all its beautiful, vulnerable, unique phases.

Someone recently said to me that kids are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. I added “some of mine have nuts”. Okay, not great with words. What I was trying to say, mine are a little nutty.
