Sometimes the support comes in ways that stop you in your tracks. 💛

This sweet note, artwork, and a few dollars arrived from James + Avery, who wanted to send some of their own money to help us after the fire.

We've received support in so many forms over the last few weeks — big and small, from near and far — and every single bit of it has meant more than we can say.

Two weeks later. 💚

It’s hard to believe it’s already been two weeks since the fire—and we finally have a little more clarity on what rebuilding is going to look like.

Unfortunately, we now know that insurance will only cover a fraction of what we lost. Our biggest priority is replacing the truck itself, and we’re still looking at a long road before we’re fully back on our feet. But here’s the part we don’t want to get lost in all of that:
You’ve helped us raise more than $41,000 through our GoFundMe.

You’ve donated. Shared our story. Loaned us equipment. Shopped with us. Sent messages. Shown up at our markets and Farm Store. And you’ve helped us keep moving when stopping simply wasn’t an option.

We’re back at the markets. We’re filling online orders. The Farm Store is open. But being back up and running doesn’t mean we’re back to where we were. ❤️

We’re still waiting to learn what insurance will cover, we’re still relying on borrowed and temporary solutions, and we still have a long way to go to replace what was lost.

What HAS kept us moving is all of you. Showing up at Hope Street, Aquidneck & Casey. Shopping the Farm Store. Placing online orders. Donating. Sharing our story. Offering trucks, equipment, connections and helping hands.

Every bit of it matters.

So as Pat says here, if you’re able to continue supporting us—by donating, shopping, sharing or simply showing up—we still need you. We’ve made incredible progress, but we’re not back to “normal” yet.

Sometimes community shows up before you even have a chance to ask. ❤️

When our market truck caught fire on Saturday, an Ocean State Job Lot Ocean State Job Lot Official truck driver was right behind us— and was actually the first person to call 911, before our staff could even get out of the vehicle.

And their kindness didn’t stop there.

After hearing what happened, Ocean State Job Lot’s VP of Charitable Giving reached out and asked how they could help us get back up and running. This week, Pat, Chef Ray, and Emily headed to our East Greenwich Job Lot, where their team helped us replace some of the supplies and equipment we lost so we can get back out to our markets this weekend. 💚

We’ve said it a lot this week, but it continues to be true: we are completely overwhelmed by the people, businesses, neighbors, customers, friends, and total strangers who have stepped up and asked, “How can we help?”

A huge thank you to the entire Ocean State Job Lot team — from the driver, Jeremy, who jumped into action on Saturday to everyone who helped us this week.

Because of people like you, we’ll be back at the markets this weekend. 🐓🌱

It might look a little different for a while, but we’ll be there. ❤️

A little update from the farm ❤️

We are completely overwhelmed by the love, generosity, offers to help, and support you’ve shown our entire team this week. We feel it. Truly.

On Saturday morning, everything changed in a matter of minutes.

Pat wanted to personally share what happened, what it means for our farm, and why we’ve decided to launch a GoFundMe.

More than anything, we’re overwhelmed by the kindness this community has shown us. Instead of hearing “I’m sorry,” we’ve heard countless people ask, “How can we help?” ❤️

Yesterday we experienced one of the hardest days in Pat’s Pastured’s history.

Our refrigerated market truck was destroyed in a fire, and with it we lost all of the equipment, coolers, and inventory we rely on to serve our customers each week.

The most important thing is that everyone is safe, and for that we’re incredibly grateful.

Right now our focus is on documenting the loss, working with our insurance company, and doing everything we can to get back up and running as quickly as possible. We don’t yet know the full extent of what insurance will cover, but we do know that our commitment to this farm, our animals, and our customers hasn’t changed.
We also ask for your continued support of our team during this challenging time. Your encouragement for both our staff and our farm means more than you know, and we’re incredibly grateful for our loyal customers and the community that continues to stand behind us.

We’ll keep you updated over the coming days, and we’ll let everyone know our plans for Hope Street and our other markets as soon as we have them.

WOW - What a summer camp experience! It’s an official wrap on an incredible summer at the Farm & Forest Education Center! 🌲 From building wilderness forts and tracking wildlife to seeing firsthand how healthy soil grows real food, these kids put their hearts into exploring the land. Seeing the next generation connect so deeply with nature is exactly why we do this work. A massive thank you to all the families, campers, and our incredible educators who made this season so unforgettable. Drop a 💚 if your kiddos joined us out in the woods this year!

Why do we talk so much about regenerative agriculture?

Because simply sustaining today’s environment isn’t enough—we believe in rebuilding it.

Every time we rotate our animals onto fresh pasture, we’re giving grasses, clovers, and other forage plants the chance to recover. Their roots feed the soil, improve water retention, cycle nutrients, and create healthier ecosystems from the ground up.

As you swipe, you’ll notice many of the plants featured are the very same botanicals that inspired the Pat’s Pastured logo—species like clover, timothy, rye grass, alfalfa, and vetch. They’re not just pretty wildflowers; they’re some of nature’s hardest-working partners in restoring healthy pasture.

Healthy soil → healthy plants → healthy animals → nourishing food.

That’s regenerative agriculture in action. 🌱
