This weekend we had the opportunity to be a part of a customer’s bridal shower!! She was hosting a “fresh off the market” themed shower and asked us if we could provide veggies and flowers for their favors for guests to take home. Talk about cute and fun!! We love being a part of our customers’ day, whether that’s on your dinner table at night, or part of your special events. Thank you Alyssa Perry for thinking of us!!

We’re thrilled to partner with Connecticut Foodshare again this year to get fresh, local veggies to more of our neighbors!

Here’s how it works: Connecticut Foodshare purchases our surplus produce and donates it directly to local pantries. We just dropped off a huge delivery at the Hockanum Valley Community Council food pantry in Vernon!

Whenever we’re blessed with a bumper crop, this partnership is the best way to ensure our extra veggies feed our extended community.

Last week we had the privilege of hosting 20 fellow farmers through UConn Extension Solid Ground program. We walked the fields, talked pest and disease management, shared business tips, and swapped ideas under a perfect evening sky.
Community over competition, always. Thanks for coming out to East Hartford, everyone—we learned just as much from you as you did from us! 💚

Come see us and the gorgeous sunflowers we planted last month with the Sunset Ridge 6th graders!

Today is the day!! Join us from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. at DePietro Park (396 Forbes St) for our Pollinator Awareness and Community Event!

We have so much going on: Food trucks, vendors, bounce houses, farmers, face painting, crafts, beekeepers, and MORE! Come out and spend the afternoon with us! Bring your family and have a picnic lunch! The weather is perfect to fly a kite, too!

Parking will be at Sunset Ridge Middle School, across the street from the park, and the East Hartford Police Department will be staffed at the crosswalk for safety. Limited handicapped parking is available at the park itself.

We hope to see you there on this gorgeous day!

This season, we’re asking our valued customers to please bring your own shopping bags when you visit the stand. To help reduce our environmental footprint, we will no longer be providing the small brown paper bags like in years past.
Don’t worry if you forget yours, though—we’re still accepting (and using) donated grocery bags so there’s always a backup available. Thank you so much for your understanding and for supporting our waste-reduction efforts!
