SANDWICHES // LIVE MUSIC FRIDAY!

If you’ve stopped into TPB in the last month or so you’ve either heard about sandwiches or tried one for yourself. We’ve been busy tweaking our 2 house sandwiches; the Italian and the Veggie - and we’re ready to tell the (social media) world!

In our opinion, the perfect companion to a beer, perhaps only rivaled by a slice of pizza. Not too much, not too little, just right.

The Italian is a classic combo; meat centric featuring the holy trinity of mortadella, genoa salami, and prosciutto, piled high with some essential veggies and thick cuts of provolone. Topped with a generous splash of our top secret TPB sandwich drizzle.

The Veggie is the epitome of fresh - some guests have referred to it as a “garden sandwich” and we really love that. Hummus spread, cukes, red onion, fire roasted red pepper, a big handful of shredded lettuce and a textural addition of fried shallots.

Sandwiches are made to order, no gluten-free bread option just yet but we’re working on it.

We got Matt Beckius (Matt Beckius) in the taproom tonight from 6-8 jamming out to start your weekend off right. Come through and hang with us! Helles is tasting mighty fine if we do say so ourselves!

LIVE MUSIC TODAY // 2 NEW BEERS

Happy Sunday everyone! We have Ashly LaRosa (figurinemusic) gracing our presence today from 2-4pm playing some acoustic tunes in the tasting room. Swing on by it’s sure to be a chill time so shake off those firework induced cobwebs and hang at TPB.

Also 2 NEW BEERS!

Peripheral Vision - Pale Ale, 5.8% hopped with Citra and Strata. Classic tropical pop layered with some really nice dank notes, even bitterness, lean, mean and ready to rumble.

Gartenbier - Helles, 4.8% our first stab at the Munich-inspired refresher - a super delicate style, the fine line between malt and hop interplay, we’re getting big bread dough whiffs and a nice hop presence from some German-grown Mittlefruh which we sourced from our buds over at The HOPGUILD this one is ready to be crushed.

Also speaking of crushed - we’re out of PILS cans…thank you all! Open 12-6 today. See you soon.

PLOURD PILS CANS

We did it gang - we put some beer into those 16oz vessels you all crave. Of course, the first beer we packaged in cans is none other than our Plourd PILS.

Today, Saturday the 27th we’ll have 4-packs available for take away when we open. We’ll have fresh pretzels from Hartford Baking Co and our house sandwiches on offer, swing on by and pick one up for your hike through the woods, day at the beach, or at home leisure.

Super soft water, German pilsner malt, a touch of flaked corn, handfuls of US-grown Sterling and Adeena hops from our friends over at Crosby Hops // Roy Farms and a tried and true German lager yeast. This is our 2nd iteration of PILS and we hope to continue to tweak and work on this beer in the endless pursuit of excellence.

MEAT RAFFLE — FRIDAY 7/3 @ 6PM

Join us Friday, July 3rd starting at 6PM for a celebration of farm raised food for the community. We’re partnering with Fernandes Farmstead in Manchester to bring you some of their delicious pasture raised pork, free range chicken eggs, grass fed beef, and raw local honey.

Manny Fernandes has been picking up our spent grain since day 1, turning that byproduct of our brewing process into feed for their animals on the farm.

One beer purchased = one raffle ticket. So come on over to TPB and grab a beer, try your luck, and support the folks who help make our little beer ecosystem go round.

UPDATED // EXTENDED HOURS

It’s officially summer and we feel like hanging out in the taproom a little longer these days - starting this week we are extending our hours!

More time to hang with friends, enjoy the sunshine on the patio, and soak up the longest days of the year. We have a fun start to the week here at TPB beginning with Botanical BINGO™️ - our plant themed twist on the old classic. Stamp your way to a plant prize with us each and every Thursday, we’ll start rolling at 7pm from here on out with our new hours. Our pals at La Cocina Cubana (La Cocina Cubana) will be here slinging the best Cuban food you can get your hands on - do not sleep on those desserts.

This Friday we’ll have Twin Beaks Fried Chicken (Twin Beaks Fried Chicken) swinging by serving up delicious fried chicken sandwiches among many other farm to food inspired eats - make sure you come hungry.

PLOURD PILS on LUKR

Many of you have asked us “what’s on the side pull?” since we opened a few months ago - the answer has always been the same, “nothing yet”…until NOW.

Our House Pilsner, Plourd Pils, is making its debut on our Lukr (LUKR CZ) faucet this week. This method of dispensing beer is unique compared to the typical beer faucets you may be familiar with.

A slight turn of the handle and your met with rich, dense, wet foam. Fully position the handle towards you and it creates a beautiful hourglass cascade of golden pilsner beer.

A traditional serving method once solely found in the Czech Republic is now no stranger to many brewery tasting rooms in America (and beyond) - all thanks to the team at Lukr and a pair of influential US breweries who did the educational heavy lifting back home.

Maybe we need to get some special Plourd Pils glassware to complete the experience 🤔 oh and yes, we will pour you some milk if you ask nicely.

BINGO! Come and join us this Thursday, May 28th for our first ever BINGO NIGHT. We’ll be playing 3 rounds of good ole fashioned BINGO, plant prizes, and delicious eats courtesy of our friends at La Cocina Cubana ().

As an added bonus - $1 from every beer sold Thursday night will go directly to the Connecticut Foodshare () in support of their efforts to fight food insecurity right here in Connecticut. CT Foodshare works with wholesalers to make cash donations stretch as far as they can and distributes food to local food pantries like the one here in East Hartford. Everyone deserves to know where their next meal is coming from.

So come on down to TPB, stamp your way to glory, and drink a few beers for a great cause. We’re open 4-8pm, games begin at 6 - see you there!
