The Land is a small, family-owned farm and “hidden gem” of East Haven, Connecticut located on 11 acres of marsh-side wonder. We take pride in providing New Haven County with the freshest, finest and most unique sustainable/organically grown/toxin-free produce in the area. ssential in creating positive change within ourselves and in our local and global communities. Small organic farm production starts with meticulous care and preparation of the earth. Local farms enrich the soil, protect air and water quality while maintaining open space for agricultural use. Organic and heirloom seeds with sustainable growing practices give way to delicious produce that improves our health and enlivens our tastebuds (taste the difference!). The Land is a place where consumers can come see production of their food from start to finish. Local food production allows consumers to put a human face to their food. The Land produces higher quality and more reliable products than those found in the average supermarket. Consumption of locally grown foods also cuts down on food transportation and packaging costs- lowering carbon footprints. And local food brings neighbors and friends together, creating a community of familiar faces. Aside from providing East Haven's freshest produce, The Land realizes its role in educating consumers about the latest and greatest local food endeavors and practices.
