Lookout Auto Piper -Ayrshire Spring Yrlg
🥉junior for Katie Shafer. 13th in the open show. Owned withJesse and Kiley Muse and Jim and Valerie Spreng.
Katie is a neighbor girl who LOVES cows. She has only shown for two years, with the first year just being at the county fair. This year she stepped it up and showed at the Ohio State Fair, leading Piper to Junior Champion honors. She was determined to show her on the colored shavings. She also spent all week on the barns with us and got the full experience of World Dairy Expo. Congratulations Katie!

One week ago we started off Expo with the Junior Holstein Show. In Lauren’s last show as a junior we gave her a pick of heifers on the farm. She chose a Major December calf out of Royalwater Parkavenue Dawn EX 95. She placed 13th out of 44 calves. This heifer just keeps getting better everyday. Full sister and maternal sisters available.

Always inspiring to see so many young people interested in the dairy cow. Thank you to The Ohio State University, Purdue University, and Modesto Junior College for making us a practice stop on your way to Harrisburg. Best of luck to all and safe travels.

Sometimes in the midst of chaos there are things that make you stop. Stop and look and reflect how truly blessed we are. Covered the bunk tonight with the help of great friends/coworkers/family. Yes it was stressful trying get the bunk full from dodging the rain and having to change game plans every few hours but it got done. And then seeing the sunset from the top of the pile tonight was the perfect ending
