The Ponds features hand crafted food & beer. Our gourmet pizza uses freshly made dough & sauce with ingredients from our farm. The gardens are spectacular.

Our brewery produces six beers using our hops. Play cornhole, pool, darts, & feed the fish & ducks.

Next video in our w**d series: Wetland Weeds.

Wetland w**ds are plants that grow aggressively in ponds, marshes, streambanks, and other wet environments, often spreading faster than desirable native vegetation. While some native wetland plants play essential roles in healthy ecosystems, invasive w**ds can quickly dominate shorelines and shallow water, reducing plant diversity and altering wildlife habitat. Many spread through abundant seeds, underground rhizomes, or broken plant fragments, making them difficult to control once established. Learning to identify invasive wetland w**ds early and managing them promptly helps protect water quality, preserve native plant communities, and maintain healthy habitat for fish, amphibians, birds, pollinators, and countless other aquatic species.

Introduction to Grassy Weeds

Not all grass belongs in your lawn.

Some grasses are actually w**ds that spread aggressively, compete with desirable turf, and quickly take over healthy landscapes.

In this video, we'll show you how to identify the most common grassy w**ds by looking at their leaves, stems, seed heads, growth habits, and root systems. You'll also learn when they grow, why they spread so rapidly, and the most effective ways to control them.

Whether you're dealing with crabgrass, goosegrass, foxtail, quackgrass, annual bluegrass, or other invasive grasses, understanding how to identify them is the first step toward restoring a thick, healthy lawn.
