We are a sesquicentennial family farm established in 1863 currently owned and operated by Gene and Beri Dennhardt. We work hard to keep the soil fertile and clean by using traditional organic techniques. We currently raise 90 varieties of squash and pumpkins that we sell in the fall at our pumpkin patch. At our traditional family patch we have a large U-Pick Pumpkin Patch, a U-Pick Flower Field, a

5-acre corn maze, a small children’s corn maze, and a petting zoo where you can feed our sheep and goats. Along with a variety of livestock, to give your family a true taste of the farm experience.

✨ Bouquet Classes at Shady Knoll Farm ✨

There’s just something about flowers. They can brighten a room, lift your spirits, bring back a memory, or simply make an ordinary day feel a little more beautiful.

That’s part of why we love growing them!

This September, we’re offering bouquet building classes at the farm for anyone who loves flowers but may not know where to start when it comes to arranging them.

We’ll spend some time together learning how to choose blooms, bring colors and textures together, and create a bouquet that feels beautiful and personal to you.

No experience needed and no pressure to make it perfect. Just come enjoy the flowers, slow down for a little while, and have fun creating something of your own.

Class schedule

-Friday, September 4th at 6pm

-Sunday, September 6th at 6pm

-Sunday, September 13th at 6pm

$30 per person

We also offer private bouquet building classes! If you’d like to get a group of friends, coworkers, family, or another group together for your own class, just reach out and we can find a date that works.

The flowers are blooming, the weather is going to be perfect, and there’s no better way to spend a summer day than wandering through the fields and picking your own flowers.

Flower Picking Hours This Weekend

We’ll be open for flower picking this weekend, rain dependent!

Saturday: 10AM–8 PM
Sunday: 8 AM–8 PM

As always, the safety of our guests comes first. If storms or lightning move into the area, we may need to temporarily close the fields until conditions are safe.

Keep an eye on our page for any weather-related updates. If you do venture out in the dry windows, maybe don’t wear your good shoes! 🤣

Mother Nature had other plans this weekend!

After the rain all day Saturday, our paths are simply too wet for guests to enjoy today. We will be closed for the day.

The good news is the flowers got a much needed drink, and we’re looking forward to seeing them continue to bloom. We plan to reopen next Friday evening, weather permitting, and we’ll keep everyone updated as we get closer.

Thanks for your understanding, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the flower field soon! 💐🌸🌼

☔️ The flowers are getting the drink they’ve been waiting for!

Because of the much-needed rain, our U-Pick flower field will be closed tomorrow. While we know it’s disappointing, we’re thankful for the rain—it will help keep the flowers looking their best for the rest of the season.

We’re hoping to be back open on Sunday, depending on how much rain we receive. We’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we know.
