McKnight Farm is owned by Seth Gardner and operated by Seth with help from me, his partner Kim Watson. We are a VOF certified organic beef and dairy farm. Our organic milk is sold to Organic Valley CROPP for local and global distribution. All of our animals are born and raised on the farm. Seth started the dairy farm in 1992 with about 10 heifer calves while still working as a farrier. He transiti

oned to be VOF certified organic in 2006. This certification requires an annual inspection to ensure conformance with strict organic standards – restricted use of chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, GMOs, and required rotational grazing. The farm today has over 620 free ranging cows with a herd of 330 milking cows. Seth has been raising his own food and farming since he was a child growing up in Cabot, Vermont and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. However, Seth and Kim still seem to have time to play Polo throughout the year with the Sugarbush Polo Club. We sell organic raw milk, beef, and farm raised chicken, pork (smoked bacon and hams), eggs and organic hay. Our products are also available at many other locations. Farm Store Update: Although we have plenty of pork breakfast sausage and non-nitrate bacon, we are out of ground pork, chops, ribs and butt until the end of September. We have plenty of Burger, tri tip and misc cuts for those summer BBQs, however, we have been selling out of certain cuts of beef such as porterhouse and ribeye until we get restocked the 1st and 3rd week of the month on Wednesdays. Happy Summer BBQ. Welcome to McKnight Farm Store located at 440 Snow Hill Road in E.Montpelier, VT. We are fully stocked with VOF Certified organic beef, raw milk and farm raised pork. We can offer the best prices in Central Vermont due to our low overhead. What does VOF certified organic mean? We are inspected annually to ensure that our beef cows and pigs are raised organically on pasture and with feed that is free from GMOs and antibiotics.
