East Palatka is protecting its history and preparing its future.

The East Palatka Community Development Corporation and Hand-N-Hand Community Services Foundation, Inc. are proud to announce a Historic Resource Documentation & Community Development Project for our neighborhood.

This work is being conducted with SWCA Environmental Consultants and St. Johns River State College to help document important buildings, churches, homes, businesses, and community places throughout East Palatka.

Why does this matter?

Because a community cannot protect what has never been documented.

This project helps preserve the story of East Palatka, strengthen the documentary foundation for future preservation and rehabilitation efforts, and prepare our youth for the near future and the 22nd Century through meaningful learning and community-service opportunities.

This is about more than history.
This is about identity.
This is about opportunity.
This is about making sure East Palatka is not left behind.
