Each of our candles are hand poured in small batches here on the farm allowing me to give each candle careful attention and focus on detail. Our hand poured candles are highly fragrant and are made using our “ Original Wax” and our newest wax blend that is a special blend of waxes (including SOY) . Our “Original” Candles are very popular and loved by many. The scent throw is amazing right down to the end * The burn is nice and even * no tunneling with our candle * lead free wicks. Our newest “Special” Blend gives you better scent throw than most soy candles and burns longer than paraffin. This make the perfect all day burning candle. 🍂 Good Morning & Happy Friday from Buck Berry Farm! 🍪🐮

You know it's going to be a good day when our Signature Highland Chunk Cookies are already in the farm store waiting for you! 🤎🍪

Today is going to be a day dedicated to a little homemade goodness in the kitchen!

I've already got some cinnamon roll dough in the works, and there's a bunch of perfectly ripe bananas just begging to be turned into some delicious homemade banana bread. 🍌

So, who knows what might find its way into the farm store throughout the day? One thing is for sure… it's going to be something yummy! 😋

We've got a wonderful selection of our farm-raised beef and pork, including ground beef, ground pork, sweet and hot Italian sausage, and I do believe we have some of those delicious maple breakfast sausage links waiting for you, too! Perfect for a cozy fall weekend breakfast.

Our goat's milk soaps and beef tallow soaps are also available in the store. I'm hoping to have another fresh batch of our beef tallow soap making its way onto the shelves tomorrow, this time in a wonderful Nectarine Crème scent! 🍑

There's just something special about filling the shelves with things made by hand, one small batch at a time.

🍂 It’s a beautiful Wednesday morning! 🍂

Fall is really starting to show off its beautiful colors. The leaves are softly falling, and we’ve been blessed with such a gorgeous stretch of weather. There’s just something about these beautiful fall mornings on the farm. ❤️

I was finally able to get the last of my tomatoes and a few other goodies from the garden canned and put away, which means I can officially turn my attention back to getting the farm store filled back up! 😊

And we have some great news from the freezer! It has been restocked with:

A little reminder about our girls 🐔… they are still working their way through their fall molt. Egg production naturally drops during this time while their bodies put all that energy into growing beautiful new feathers. So, the egg fridge may not look quite as full as you're used to seeing it. We like to say they're simply enjoying their well-deserved fall vacation. ❤️

✨ Today's scent in the farm store is Hocus Pocus. ✨

This one is a wonderful spicy, earthy blend and honestly one of my personal favorites. It's one of those scents that fills the room without being overwhelming—and even after you turn your melter off, that wonderful fragrance just seems to linger. It is absolutely fabulous!

Our Goat's Milk Lotions are still available, and I think some of our newest soaps are just about ready to be packaged. Hopefully they'll be making their way onto the shelves very soon!

We're slowly getting everything filled back up after a busy few weeks of harvesting, canning and putting things away for winter. That's just part of this little farm life—one season rolls right into the next. ❤️

Well, we’ve made it to Friday. 🍂

Unfortunately, there will still be no baked goods today. I have two bushels of tomatoes that have officially taken over my kitchen, and today they’re destined to become homemade tomato sauce and Grandma’s tomato relish. 🍅

As you walk into the farm store today, our showcase scent is Homestead Harvest, filling the shop with that warm, cozy feeling of fall on the farm. 🍁 It’s a comforting harvest-season scent that brings to mind crisp autumn days, a warm farmhouse kitchen, and all the coziness of home. Homestead Harvest is available in our melts, so you can take a little of that fall feeling home with you.

We also have three fall melts being added to the store today.

🍐 Farmhouse Pear Crisp — This one is our own blend, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Warm brandied pear meets cozy praline with just a hint of something special to brighten it up. It’s warm, sweet, and perfect for fall.

🍬 Praline Element — A warm, rich, sweet scent with that cozy nutty, caramelized feel that fits right into the cooler days of fall.

🍁 And, of course, Homestead Harvest, our showcase scent for today.

🥚 Just another reminder that eggs are limited right now. Our girls are enjoying their little fall break while putting their energy into growing beautiful new feathers.

Our travel-size goat milk lotions are stocked too. Pumpkin Patchouli is absolutely amazing for fall, Cashmere continues to be a favorite, and we also have our cozy Honey Oatmeal scent available.

Once I conquer those two bushels of tomatoes, I’ll be working on packaging more of our handmade soaps for the store. 🧼

It might be a little cloudy and a little rainy today, but there’s something about a fall day like this that makes our little urban country farm feel especially peaceful.

If you’re out and about, take the slow road and stop by. Wander around, visit the animals, browse the farm store, and enjoy a few quiet minutes away from everything. 🌾

🌾 We’ve gained quite a few new followers lately, so I thought this would be the perfect time to introduce ourselves and share a little about who we are and what Buck Berry Farm is all about.

The truth is, this way of life didn’t start with Buck Berry Farm. We’ve both been doing some version of this our entire lives.

I was fortunate enough to grow up with those wonderful old-fashioned grandparents who taught me how to do things myself. I learned to garden, can and preserve what we grew, make jams and jellies, sew, make homemade soaps, and so many of those skills that were simply part of everyday life back then.

My husband grew up in a farming family. Farming was part of his life from the beginning, and as he got older, he went on to farm on his own.

Then, in 1997, our two stories became one. ❤️

We brought together his farming background and my love for gardening, preserving, homemaking and making things from scratch. Over the years, we took everything our families had taught us and made it our own.

Along the way, we raised our two children, who are now 26 and 29, right in the middle of this way of life.

There were many years filled with 4-H projects, animals, county fairs, chores and plenty of learning along the way. Our kids grew up caring for animals, working with their hands and experiencing many of the same values and traditions that had been passed down to us.

Those years are a big part of our story too. ❤️

Our story together began in 1997. Buck Berry Farm officially came along in 2014.

And here we are today, with our kids grown, still doing many of the same things we were raised doing — only now we get to share a little piece of it with all of you.

Buck Berry Farm is really just an extension of us.

It’s our animals. It’s the garden. It’s fresh eggs gathered from the coop. It’s something simmering on the stove, bread baking in the oven, a batch of jam being made, soap curing on the shelf, or a new candle scent I’m experimenting with.

It’s also muddy boots, fixing fences, animals with minds of their own, chores that don’t care what day of the week it is, and plenty of things that don't go according to plan. 😂

We like to call this place our little urban country farm — a little piece of country life tucked close to town.

And our farm store is an extension of that.

It’s small, self-serve and intentionally a little old-fashioned. We don’t want it to feel commercial or rushed. Pull in, slow down for a bit, browse the shelves, say hello to the animals, listen to the chickens and simply enjoy being on the farm.

Depending on the season, you might find farm-fresh eggs, meats, homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, handmade soaps and lotions, candles and melts, garden produce, and whatever else we happen to be growing, raising, baking or making.

But Buck Berry Farm is about much more than what’s sitting on the shelves.

It’s about sharing the farm, the animals, the changing seasons, the good days and the messy ones. It’s about keeping some of those old-fashioned skills alive and sharing a way of life that has been passed down through our families for generations.

🍂 What an absolutely beautiful Sunday morning!

Today is looking like a 100 out of 10 kind of fall day — sunshine, crisp air, and the perfect weather for a Sunday drive.

And yes… the Farm Store will be OPEN today from 10–6! 🤎

If you’re out enjoying this beautiful weather and looking for something a little slower and more relaxing, take a drive out to the farm. Wander around, say hello to the animals, and step inside the store where we’ll have Pumpkin Patchouli warming in the melter today. 🎃🌿

It’s such a wonderful combination of warm pumpkin with a woodsy, earthy touch — one of those scents that just feels like fall.

🐔 A little reminder about the garden area:
The chickens are currently free-ranging inside the garden, so the gates are being kept closed. Please make sure all gates stay shut, and please don’t allow children to chase the chickens. We want everyone — including the girls — to enjoy the day peacefully.

🍂 What an absolutely beautiful morning on the farm. A little brisk, a little sunshine, and those beautiful blue skies. It’s the kind of morning that makes you want to stay outside just a little longer while doing chores.

So, what’s happening around the farm these days? Quite a bit, actually. Every season seems to bring a change around here, and fall is no different. The animals change their routines, the garden starts winding down, and I find myself spending a little more time creating things for the store. There’s always something going on—even if it happens at our own slow farm pace. ❤️

Our girls have officially started their fall molt, which means eggs will be a little less plentiful for a while. 🐔🥚 Instead of seeing 10 dozen eggs in the fridge, you may only see 5 dozen. Growing all those beautiful new feathers takes a lot of protein and energy, so egg production naturally slows down.

And speaking of our girls, if you wander through the garden area, you may notice I’m allowing the chickens to free range through there now. They are certainly enjoying themselves! 🐔

We just ask for a little help keeping them safe. Please make sure all gates are kept closed, and if you’re visiting with little ones, please don’t allow them to chase the chickens. We want everyone to enjoy visiting the animals while also letting the animals enjoy their space.

🐮 Another exciting change coming to the farm is Gertie’s Highland baby! We’re getting closer to her due date, which we expect to be sometime toward the end of October into November. So sometime within the next month or two, we could have a new fluffy little Highland calf to introduce to everyone. 🤎

Meanwhile, inside the Farm Store, fall has definitely arrived too. 🍁 As you walk in today, you’ll be greeted by Spiced Caramel Apple Cake—warm caramel, fall spices, and sweet orchard apple. If you love it, you can take that same wonderful scent home in one of our wax melts.

🎃 And just in time for October, our 11-ounce Jack-O’-Lantern Pumpkin Candles have made their way into the store! They’re available in several different fall scents, and whichever one you choose will fill your home with those warm smells of the season. They’re $10.50 each.

I’ll continue adding new things here and there as inspiration strikes, so the store may look a little different each time you stop.

🍁☀️ Happy First Day of Fall from Buck Berry Farm!

And finally… we woke up to SUNSHINE! What a beautiful way to welcome the first day of fall. Even better, the next several days are looking just as promising.

It’s the perfect time to stop by the farm store, wander around the farm, say hello to the animals, and enjoy a little slower-paced shopping.

We will be adding new items to the store daily. 🧺

🍂 As we head into fall, the farm starts to look a little different, too.

The flowers are beginning to fade, the garden is slowing down, the evenings come a little earlier, and the trees are just starting to hint at what's ahead. The farm, too, is entering a new season.

There's something peaceful about this time of year. After the busyness of summer, everything seems to slow down just a little. And around here, we try to follow right along with it.

🐔 Our girls are entering a new season, too.

As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, our hens begin their yearly molt.

Molting is completely natural. The girls shed their older feathers and grow beautiful new ones. Growing all those feathers takes a lot of protein and energy, so their bodies naturally put less energy into making eggs.

That means egg production will slow down for a while. 🥚

So if you notice our egg fridge isn't quite as full as it was during the spring and summer, don't worry. The girls are simply doing what nature intended—taking a little break and putting their energy into growing their new winter feathers. ❤️🐔

Every season brings something different to the farm, and that's part of what makes this little place so special.
