Appearing on the Fort Hill SoundStage on Friday, October 16th - Down the Alley (5:30-7:30).

The members of Down the Alley have been taking their signature sound of old blues and entertaining atmosphere to the stage collectively for 35 years. Influenced by Freddy King, Paul Butterfield and Muddy Waters, Down the Alley gives the audience old roots blues music with the entertainment of old friends. Every set is a new compilation of songs, both original tracks and covers of the greats. This group inspires dancing and laughter among their audiences and ultimately always a good time!

The Buddy McEarns Band plays what people have described as "Blue Roots Rock n' Roll", "Rag-abilly Blues" or "Folkie Funk". The Western Mass good-time band plays a variety of original music and creative covers, and has opened for national touring acts such as Samantha Fish, Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, Joe Louis Walker, Quinn Sullivan, and The Duke Robillard Band. The BMcB has also shared the stage with local Pioneer Valley legends such as: Mitch Chakour, FAT, Scott Murawski of Max Creek, Sweet Daddy Cool Breeze, Blue Devil Blues, & Wildcat O'Halloran.

Haunted by Possums is a swing and blues band that shakes off the dust of beloved classics from the early 1900s while adding their own flare to modern electro-swing favorites. This four piece band creates a full sound on guitar, fiddle, sax, and upright bass. Get ready to dance and sing along when Haunted by Possums hits the stage.

Adam Steele Zucker (Adam SZ) performs a soulful acoustic style, blending influences of roots reggae, rock, r&b, and pop with a fun selection of classic covers and originals. His solo performance blends his strong tenor vocal with dynamic acoustic guitar that interplays between rhythm, baseline, and melodic leads.

Guitar-slinger Wildcat O'Halloran has been thrilling audiences in Western Massachusetts for over thirty years. This group has opened for just about every major blues artist to visit Massachusetts, from Greg Allman, to John Lee Ho**er, and to The Stray Cats! Living Blues Magazine wrote: “Wildcat emerges as one of the most entertaining songwriters in contemporary blues...and his band doesn't know the meaning of dull!” The band focuses on keeping the blues alive all across New England!

The Frost Heaves & Hales have been dispensing adventurous rock’n’roll up and down the Pioneer Valley since 2005. Their sound is an eclectic mix of energetic indie, dreamy psychedelia, and fuzzed-out Americana. Frontman Daniel Hales writes poetic lyrics worth paying attention to, full of whimsical wordplay and inventive imagery.

Orb Mellon is the blues moniker of Mike Malone, founder and guitarist of the seminal indie rock band and Sony/Epic recording artists Dirt Merchants. Orb Mellon mines the raw energy of 20th Century American roots music, particularly wh***ey fueled house party delta blues. He has released 3 full length albums and 3 EPs and his work has been featured in regional, national, and international press. In 2018, he was a featured solo performer at the 2018 Montreal International Jazz Festival and was a finalist for Best Blues Act at the 2019 New England Music Awards. His music has been included in feature films and television shows including the hit dramas Justified, True Blood, The Good Wife, and Mr. Mercedes.

Christopher John is from Coventry,CT and has played over 7,500 gigs in the last 25 years.He plays everything from Everly Brothers to STP and is a multiple songwriting contest winner. He has an extensive playlist with over a thousand songs.

Appearing on the Fort Hill SoundStage on Saturday, September 26th - The Time Stretchers (4:00-7:00). Cote's Cooks food truck will also be here from 2:00-8:00!

The Time Stretchers is known for strong lead vocals by all members and also its intricate
and impressive vocal harmonies. The group features Barry Searle and Clark Howell on guitars, and Sarah Miller on percussion and melodica. The repertoire is an enjoyable mix of songs from many artists and many genres from the 50s to the now! They are constantly expanding the song list, but frequently-featured artists include the Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash,
Badfinger, The Pretenders, Steely Dan and many many more.
