We are so happy to be back at it! The weather last week was perfect for planting: sunny day after sunny day, with a light rain in the evening, repeat. We planted over 100,000 plants in just a few days, including everything from lettuce to broccoli to scallions to fennel, and we tucked it all under row cover to protect it from the cold temperatures the last few nights. Now we are getting ready for the next round of planting, and this week that will include onions and early flowers.
Over the next few months, we will grow well over one million pounds of food for our neighbors and local community, and we could never even try to pull this off without our team. Many of the truly wonderful people who work here have been with us for years, and we cannot adequately express how grateful we are that there are people who believe in this work enough to do it.
Farm share pick up will begin in early June. We will send an email when we know the exact date.
If you haven’t signed up for your farm share yet, there is still time!
