👇🏻THIS!! We are so thankful for all of our amazing vendors.

I’ve been thinking a lot about our vendors lately.

If you’ve spent any amount of time around farmers markets, you know June, July, and August can be tough.

It’s hot. Not just hot. The sun is touching you kind of hot.

The kind where you’re sweating before you ever finish unloading the truck. Some weeks the crowds are lighter. People don’t stay as long. Sales can be slower.

And yet, week after week, you keep showing up!

I see you.

I see you pulling into the market early in the morning and unloading while most people are still at home.

I see the tents going up. Tables coming out. Coolers being unloaded. Displays being put together. Products being laid out that you spent all week growing, baking, making, creating, or preparing.

But I see something else too.

I see you building.

I see you grinding. I see the consistency.

I see you working on your business week after week, figuring things out, making adjustments, getting better, and making success happen.

And I know that isn’t always easy.

There are days when you want to throw in the towel. There are days when you question everything and wonder if maybe you should change directions.

Hell, we’ve all had those moments. I know I have!

But then you get up and do it again. You show up. And I truly believe that’s where a lot of success is made.

Not just on the beautiful Saturdays when the weather is perfect, the market is packed, and everything seems to be going your way.

Success is built on the hard days too.

The days when it’s hot. The days when it’s slow. The days when you’re tired. The days when nobody would blame you for staying home but you show up anyway.

Those days matter.

I know there are market days when you get home, unload everything again, finally sit down, and wonder if the day was worth it.

That’s the part of farmers markets most people never see.

I’ve always felt like these summer months are where we pay our dues, figuratively speaking, for some of those absolutely beautiful market days we get throughout the rest of the year.

The cool fall mornings. Packed markets. Christmas shopping. Those beautiful spring Saturdays when the weather couldn’t be better and our community comes out in force.

Those days are coming.

But right now, we’re in the grind.

And I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for showing up when it would be easier to stay home.

Thank you for betting on yourself and your small business every single week.

Thank you to the farmers who keep growing. The bakers who keep baking. The makers who keep making. The artists who keep creating. The food vendors who keep cooking. And every small business owner who loads it all up, shows up, packs it all back up, and does it again.

You are what makes our farmers markets what they are.

Buildings don’t make a market.

Streets don’t make a market.

Tents don’t make a market.

People do.

Our vendors do.

Our shoppers do.

Our community does.

So if you’re one of our vendors sweating underneath a tent this summer, grinding away at your dream and wondering if anybody notices how hard you’re working…

We do.

I do.

And I appreciate the hell out of you.

Keep building. Keep grinding. Keep showing up.

Fall is coming. 🍂

And thank you for continuing to show up for your businesses, for our markets, for each other, and most importantly, for our community. ❤️
