On day 143 🌿Bryce’s Astraea, for her final kidding, gave us twin….. doelings!!

🩷Chamoisee with frosted ears, white poll
🩷Black/chocolate with white poll
DOB: 2/6/26
Extras: Both look to be polled
Sire: ⚡️Bloomfield’s WT Wild Streak

ADGA Genetics: https://genetics.adga.org/PlannedPedigreePrint.aspx?SireNum=D002390151&DamNum=D002237048

The black/chocolate doeling is very small, while her sister is huge! It’s interesting, because Astraea kidded with twin doelings as an FF where one was smaller than the other, and she kidded with twin doelings on her last kidding, with one smaller than the other. Interesting!

They are a little line bred on GCH Buckhorn Run Farm Axel, so I’m excited to see them mature. Both look good already, from the small glimpses I’ve gotten amongst the hay and bedding in the kidding stall.

I’m excited to watch these girls unfold this week outside of the kidding stall, as the temperatures are going to be much warmer, so they can enjoy some outdoor time and I can fully see thier conformation.

One is retained, while the other goes to our Doeling Giveaway winner Leland Blue Dairy Goats!! They picked out an awesome name for their doeling…👏😍🤫 I can’t wait for them to share it in the future!!

Last night at 12:35am 🪐Willow Bend Farm GG Pandora kidded on day 147 with a big, single…. Buckling! And here I was hoping for two doelings (one from each buck)

💙Tan/white Buckling
DOB: 2/2/26
Extras: Wattles

He looks (under the heat lamp) like he has the same coloring as his dam Pandora, which comes from Pandora’s Grandsire on her dam’s side. Genetics are so interesting!

Pandora was dual bred to 👑Krazy G RO Something Royal *B and 🏰Trafalgar Farms A Noble Reign. But, there is no guessing at who the sire of this buckling is, as he has some pretty cute neck jewelry!

Something Royal is the only goat in our herd that has wattles, so I don’t have to play ‘Who’s Your Daddy’!

Oh and 20 minutes after being born, he did the buck blubber to his dam. Bucklings🥴

After two nights of waking up every hour checking the Pandora on the camera, and the late kidding last night, it’s to get some more caffeine in me lol🥱

💬Info
**The giveaway will start right now, 10:00am on 1/5/26, until 1/30/26 at midnight. Then, on 2/2/26 at 3pm, the winner will be drawn.

The winner will be able to choose a doeling from one of our 2026 kiddings. The winner will have 48 hours from the time of drawing to choose a kidding pair that they would like a doeling from (the doeling can be from a doe that has recently kidded in 2026, or a doe that will kid later in 2026).

An electronic agreement will be signed by me (farm owner) and sent via email to the winner, agreeing to: the chosen doeling, that transport will be arranged to pick up the doeling when it turns 12 weeks old or within 30 days of the doeling turning 12 weeks old, that the winner will be responsible for all costs (CVI cost, ADGA registering cost, DNA if a dual breeding applicable, transport cost, etc.) and what is in this giveaway info section of this post. Both the winner and me (farm owner) will get a emailed copy of the signed agreement.

If the winner chooses our dual breeding (the doe has been bred to two bucks), the winner agrees and understands that it is not guaranteed to get a doe from either buck. It is a 50-50 chance of a doe from one of the bucks. By choosing the dual breeding, the winner agrees that they are fine with a doe that is sired by either buck.

If the winner’s chosen pairing does not have a doeling, the winner can choose another pairing, or a doeling already born in 2026 (that has not been sold or retained).

If the winner chooses a pairing that we had already listed as first doeling retained, the winner understands that if a second doeling is not born, the winner can choose another pairing or an already born 2026 doeling (that has not been sold or retained).

Once a doeling from the chosen pair is born, we will supply a large list of names that the winner can choose from, to name the doeling for her registered name which will be the herd name of our farm ‘Willow Bend Farm (name chosen from given list)’.

The winner will forfeit the giveaway doeling if the winner doesn’t sign the agreement (agreeing to responsibility for the costs of transport, CVI, registering, etc. and what is stated in this giveaway info section of the post) resulting in a new winner being drawn.**
