Yesterday, our family hosted a group of Ukrainian military veterans at the ranch. Former soldiers looking to get into — or back into — agriculture after their service.

So we walked the pastures, talked hay, cattle, crops, and even zero-turn lawn mowers. I also got to share what we do with the RanchFIT Rucks.

I serve on the National Farmer Veteran Coalition board where we help American veterans do the same thing. It was an honor having them. This was hands down the most inquisitive group I've been a part of!

Meet Belle, the true boss around here at Sachse Family Angus! 🐾

While we spend a lot of time talking about genetics and pasture management, none of it would be quite the same without our favorite four-legged supervisor. Belle is always the first one ready to jump in the truck and the last one to call it a day.

A good farm dog is worth their weight in gold, and we sure feel lucky to have her as part of the crew. She’s more than just a worker; she’s family.

We’d love to see the helpers you have on your place! Drop a photo of your farm dog in the comments: we want to see those hard-working pups! 🤝🐕‍🦺

First "spa day" at the wash rack for our 4-H bucket calf!

Watching him take on this responsibility is such a proud moment for us. It takes a lot of planning, logistics, and a whole lot of patience (if we’re being honest! 🤣) to calves ready for show season.

Do any of you have kids starting their first 4-H projects this summer? We’d love to hear about them in the comments!

Rest & Recovery!

We are huge proponents of pasture rotation around here. Giving the forage time to bounce back builds deeper roots and healthier soil. 🌿

Hey Ranch Family!!!

We realized it’s been a while since we shared the faces behind Sachse Family Angus, so we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves! 🤝

Raising quality cattle isn’t just a business for us: it’s our way of life. From early morning checks to planning the next generation of genetics, every decision we make is driven by our commitment to serving you and adding value to your operations. We’re proud to be a family-run outfit, and we’re even prouder of the relationships we’ve built with ranchers across the country.

Drop a comment and tell us about your own family operation or what you’re working on this season. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our community.
