The Harry R. Hughes Center for Agro-Ecology is looking for a visionary leader to serve as the Center’s next Director.

The Hughes Center is a non-profit organization affiliated with the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources - University of Maryland and serves as a national model highlighting Maryland’s agriculture, forestry, and environmental communities. The Hughes Center uses a collaborative research and outreach model to form science-based solutions for managing and conserving natural resources in Maryland and the Chesapeake Watershed.

The Director position will remain open until filled, but applicants are encouraged to apply by June 11, 2026.

Nominations are open for the Delmarva Chicken Association’s Malone Environmental Award!

This award recognizes a Delmarva chicken grower who goes above and beyond to make their farm environmentally responsible by adopting various conservation measures.

Nominations are due June 30th.
