Please help us by saving/returning egg cartons! 🥚♻️ We use about 22 cartons per day and are running super low right now. If you get eggs from us, please save them to return and even if you don’t get eggs from us, it would be a big help if you’d save yours for us to reuse 😃 They can be dropped off anytime!

The piggies are running into the weekend! 🤗 Every litter I’m still shocked how fast they grow 😂 Not even a month old yet and already so big!! They’ll be weaned and moved out to lush pasture in about 2-3 weeks 🐽

We are expecting 5 calves this year in the August-October time frame, but preparations start now! We have weaned/separated last year’s calves from their mamas to give them a break as they prepare for calving again 🤗 The calves have joined the other cows growing out for beef 🥩 Two of our cows will be calving for the first time this year, so prayerfully everything goes well! We will not have much beef for sale this year, but next year we will have LOTS of openings for 1/4 and 1/2 cow orders 😃

Always trying to stay one step ahead in any short snippets of time I have! Today was labeling egg cartons and getting soap labels ready for soap I made the other day. Sometimes it’s hard to turn my brain off - always thinking to the next thing and how to help my future self 😅 But I’m glad I got these projects done today!

Putting away all of our meat chicken equipment for the season! These birds don’t handle the heat well, which is why we don’t raise them in the summer time ☀️ Y’all truly blew us away with the interest and orders for our pasture raised chicken ‼️ We are practically sold out, with just a few things left. We did about 250 birds this spring over the course of 4 butchering days, had 5 adults and 5 youngsters volunteer to help us, and our wonderful family helped watch our kids on butchering days. The daily care to raise these birds takes about 15 minutes, but the preparation for butchering day, the actual day, the cleanup up, and scheduling pick ups is definitely a lot!! We are feeling so so thankful 🐔🫶🏼

This is definitely the busiest time of year for the farm, and Jeremiah and are both 100% feeling it 😅 However, it’s been so encouraging to me meeting so many new customers lately and sharing about our love for what we do. I’m looking forward to meeting more new customers soon, and we are forever thankful for your support!!

Animal fat has a bad reputation due to the food industry pushing seed oils, but pasture raised animal fat is actually one of the healthiest fats! I use our lard in our soaps, and also in the kitchen for frying meat (and even donuts!), sautéing veggies, in pie crusts and biscuits, and so much more! I’m happy to walk you through the SUPER simple process steps of rendering your own 😃
🐽 We have pig fat available that can be rendered into lard for $3/lb.
