In the course of a year, we see a LOT of dogs and cats that come through our doors. And, sometimes, a special animal arrives that really stands out from the pack. Shelby, for example, has been with us for a while now and is a favorite of the staff and volunteers. We've all come to really appreciate her smart, sweet, and athletic personality. She's gorgeous, too!! Yet, she's not found her forever home, probably because folks see her jumping in her kennel and just walk on by. But, in real life, she's more of a lover, who just wants to spend time with someone. She sits on command and loves other dogs. She'd be a perfect candidate for an active family who can take her on adventures like hiking, biking, running, beach combing, or swimming. Shelby is about 15 months old and smart as a whip.
