Once In A Blue Moon Farm

Once In A Blue Moon Farm We are a multi-generational family owned and operated farm and orchard on Orcas Island offering unique lodging on the farm and the beach. Not a B&B.

Farm tours by appointment. Orcas Island may be magical, but there is truth behind the myth. It's a real place and we are a working family farm & orchard and home for rescued animals. We are not a resort or hotel. We are distinct and in a class of our own. We are ourselves. Come as you are and relax in a one of our quiet settings. Our self-catering accommodations on our family farm are ideal for tho

se looking to unwind in the independence and flexibility of a casual, private & quiet island experience. Just don't forget to try our delicious orchard fruit, our amazing pasture ranged eggs, and visit with our rescue farm animals!! Thanks for all your support!!

A Cox Pippin apple picked in October and stored for seven months in an old old old Amana fridge made in 1982 that lives in the cellar of the original farmhouse built in 1915. We’re down to our last 30 pounds or so of stored apples.

Listen to that crisp crunch after SEVEN months of no frills storage in a fridge. The skin is a little wrinkly, but this apple is Botox free baby! With age comes beauty. It’s the inside that counts anyways. That flavor which doesn’t show up in photos!
